RAH E190 Rates

Didn't you hear? One of the seats is "inoperative" which makes it a 99 seat airplane*, which is the same as RAH E-175 payscale.

* According to management.

That is so low. Why does airline management resort to such scumbag tactics. We are already getting paid poverty wages. Even if they boosted pay a little the pay still wouldnt be that great but it would be something...

Have they been released yet?

I think the company proposal is out which would raise the 37 dollar top out for FOs on 4th year to about 45 for 8th. It's ridiculous, basically they're just covering inflation. They're saying it's temporary until the new contract is out which could take years.

Hmm..which do you think will happen?

1. Enough FOs say "enough" I'm not flying an E-190 for what I was making before in a 50 seat jet and nobody bids.

2. Republic continues as normal, enough pilots bid for it and the mantra "we're going to try to make things better" continues.

It's unreal that this company has invested millions upon millions into saving questionably viable airlines, yet can't pay roughly half it's pilot group what they deserve...And equally gross that said pilots continue......My hope is that things stay stagnant at RAH, because otherwise I see no catalyst that will cause the rah FOs to take a stand.

RAH is in Section 6. Thanks to the brilliant actions of several carriers who thought they were smarter than the average duck; job actions during negotiations are pretty much impossible without the risk of being legally enjoined. Which further drags out negotiations by management.

So instead of constantly slapping them and blaming them for the industry's woes, why not focus on the fact that they have crap for management ...like Orenstien and others...and give them some support so they CAN get a better contract.

And then look in the mirror. You'll see the face of someone who doesn't have a really great contract either. And someone who wouldn't walk away from their job like so many of you think they should.

Considering that years 1-4 are the same as the current pay rates (according to APC), How many 5+ year FOs does RAH have that benefit from this?

"INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF TEAMSTERS, LOCAL 747"

Is this a joke? Or change of name to protect the innocent...

Alex.

wow, I am speech less. I guess the company does not think too highly about pilots' work. :(

Nobody has voted on this LOA and it isn't new pay rates. Its just an extension of our current pay. There will be 500 fos in the next year that will top out at the 4 year mark so they thought they would throw us this poo sandwich to keep us happy. Also doesn't have anything to do with the 190 rates.

Still 190 or not, these rates arent even better then ASA, barely better then some, but not even close to being the best.... For a 99 seat airplane... WOW. What were the Fo's at Midwest making again for flying the 717? Oh yeah and Jetblues new rates?!!!! Wow.... SICKENING regardless.

What I see is a pay raise for a certain segment of senior FOs for a company in the middle of Section 6.

I'm not sure how many companies have raised any pay (no matter how richly or paltry) during section 6.

The bigger question is, why is CHQ loosening the pockets for senior FOs?

At any rate, best of luck on getting the TA you deserve.

While I'm not impressed at the numbers, I'm nonetheless happy the company is giving us something. Using the old payscale, I'd top out in January, with not much hope of seeing the left seat any time in the future. I wish we'd hurry up with that contract already.

I wish we'd hurry up with that contract already.

While I know you won't, don't get so excited that when a TA comes out you don't evaluate the whole package.

You guys deserve, and should expect, nothing less than a Major-level contract.

Hang in there!!

To answer origninal question...The company cannot count to 100, so its been greived. The other LOA that hasnt been passed is just an ammendment to our current, expired, contract and doesnt reflect a "new" contract. My guess is its something to do with integration, and we may have people who come in as "8" year FOs or something like that.

Yikes! My question to RAH guys/gals what do you think you're going to get when the new contract comes up? Remember the better you do, some low cost operating regional will cave in and fly it for cheaper.
