RAH E175 crosswind landing in ORD

B-52 Stratofortress (all models) is like "not a problem, I just land in the crab..... and rollout that way too!"

Some important details you are purposely leaving out...... Like the aircraft's wheels are aligned with the runway and the aircraft is being flown using proper technique, like it was designed for. The RAH video it is not.

Well yes, the BUFF does have the castoring landing gear. I don't know the story behind the RAH video.

One day in the future, probably sooner rather than later, all the cool airplanes will be gone. Polish your laptops gentlemen.

Nailed it!

I don't have a whole lot of hours in the JungleBus yet, but overall I don't know what to think of this. I'm generally paranoid about dragging an engine/wingtip, or maybe worse, popping the spoilers up on one of the wings with too much aileron input. So in the grand scheme of things, is this the worst landing ever? I don't know, and I've probably done worse at some point in my life.

Who are all the guys I terrorize on a regular basis... @Nick, @NC_BE300, @amorris311, @BlueMoon, what do you guys think?

Our CP is an ex-BUFF mechanic and confirmed that yes, yes it is.

I've got a college buddy who's deployed the emergency chute in a Lear and said it was pretty awesome deceleration (his description was more colorful).

We used the chute for all landings in the 117, and it slows you the heck down quickly.
