Hey everyone,
I just joined Jet Careers. My goal is flying for the airlines or charter, or some sort of flying as is most here. I have my ASEL PPL w/complex endorsment and working on my Instrument. I have been thinking about how I want to get to the airlines. My goal is eventually Frontier. I have been thinking of not going the CFI way as I dont really care to get 700 hours to fly jets to start with. Turboprops would be fine with me. As of right now I have around 90 hours as you can see I have a long time to go. My plan I think is just to get my 2 year for right now with my Multi Commercial rating and apply with somewhere around 350TT and 40 or so ME. I really was thinking about Peidmont or Great Lakes. But who knows what they will be like in a couple years. My question is, is there a problem with that? Should I get my 4 year or could I come back and finish if need be to get to Frontier or any other major. Im trying to save some money with just getting my 2 year as Im not the richest around. I know a guy at my FBO is doing this, but I dont know about his degree.
