A pilot I talked to the other day said that a Private Pilot License will look really good in your application for College. Is this true? If so I was thinking instead of applying at the end of my Junior or the beginning of my Senior year, I apply after finishing my PPL (after high school). I live in Greece with US citizenship.
Also, the grading system is different here in Greece and we don't have different levels like in America. There is only one class (level) for each subject and it is the hardest. I have been looking at what they are studying at in the US and it just seems too easy, it is really hard for me.
The grading system works like this:
18 6/13-20: A
15-18 5/13: B
12 6/13-14 12/13: C
10-12 5/13: D
1-9 12/13: F

I have a 16 3/13 which GPA wise is like a 3.1
I study so much but the grading system is so hard here.

I want to study Aeronautical Engineering. Do you think I will be able to get into a good University? Will Universities see the difference in the grading system and the difficulty? Along with my extracurricular activities like Tennis, and Piano, will the PPL really help?

Thanks and sorry for this humongous question!

P.S
This is probably in the wrong section. Correct me if it's true!

No I don't think the PPL will help you get into college. You need to take the SAT/ACT. Those scores matter more than GPA at some colleges. Others not as much. Where I went it came down to GPA, ACT/SAT, Class rank(wtf?)

A PPL will not help you get in college BUT you may be able to get some elective credits after you get accepted, depending of the school.
The best thing you can do is to find what school you want to go to, and then apply and send them your high school diploma. Once you apply they will get back to you and tell you what you need to do. Most probably they will ask you to pass a TOEFL exam and that will be it. Now, since you are attending a high school outside of the US, there is a good chance to ask you to take placement tests for MATH/English but this is after you apply and get accepted.
These days is very easy to get accepted. Colleges need $$$$$$. And beleive me you will find college in the US a lot more easier than a greek high school. Been there, done that.
