A pilot I talked to the other day said that a Private Pilot License will look really good in your application for College. Is this true? If so I was thinking instead of applying at the end of my Junior or the beginning of my Senior year, I apply after finishing my PPL (after high school). I live in Greece with US citizenship.
Also, the grading system is different here in Greece and we don't have different levels like in America. There is only one class (level) for each subject and it is the hardest. I have been looking at what they are studying at in the US and it just seems too easy, it is really hard for me.
The grading system works like this:
18 6/13-20: A
15-18 5/13: B
12 6/13-14 12/13: C
10-12 5/13: D
1-9 12/13: F
I have a 16 3/13 which GPA wise is like a 3.1
I study so much but the grading system is so hard here.
I want to study Aeronautical Engineering. Do you think I will be able to get into a good University? Will Universities see the difference in the grading system and the difficulty? Along with my extracurricular activities like Tennis, and Piano, will the PPL really help?
Thanks and sorry for this humongous question!
P.S
This is probably in the wrong section. Correct me if it's true!
