Question bout process...

I took the ATSAT and received my score on 10-27-09 I got an 89.5

What is the next step? I have not heard anything yet, I was told I would receive some kind of email about next step withn the next few weeks but its been 2 months. Just curious if this is normal or if I should contact someone. Thank you
 
Check out the sticky thread about OTS hiring at the top of this forum. It should answer most of your questions.

In your case, you are now waiting on the Geographic Preferences e-mail, which will allow you to select the 2 states in which you want to work. I didn't get mine till nearly 3 months after I took the AT-SAT.

Get settled. This process is very long. Most people go at least a year or more from when the application closes to when they get hired. Recently it has trended towards the 'more' part of that statement.
 
AT-SAT to FOL/Academy start took me 13 months. There are others who have been waiting longer than that.

Mucho patience required.
 
I hit 20 this month. And there may be 10 more to go, what with training cancellations. Got a pool going with a group of other applicants; last one in gets a free drink from everyone.

Does it ever bother you with how long you've been waiting? It always makes me wonder how long it will take before my file magically disappears and I am just forgotten about in the process and skipped over even though I have my TOL. I'm in the same boat as you, next fiscal year at the earliest, probably longer since there are people ahead of me with TOLs going to the same facility.

I'm at 11 months since the TOL and 18 months since the application. Yeah, I sometimes wonder if we just get shuffled around until we suddenly don't have any evidence of being in the process, but I have a TOL at home that proves they offered it to me and that I signed for it, so I feel alright. The waiting process sucks the most, especially when you hear about all the people in later PUBNATs that only waited, say, 6 months. I understand facility need, but this is ridiculous. If my wife were open to moving elsewhere, I'd e-mail my rep and say, "Hey, just find me an opening and send me; I don't even care if it's in Guam." I just want to get this process rolling so we can move on with our lives. My wife can't go to grad school yet because we don't know how long it'll be before we move, and she doesn't want the hassle of "Does this class transfer or not?"

I kind of feel like I'm in The Grapes of Wrath... poor Tom Joad here is traveling in his jalopy just hoping to find work SOMEwhere before Californee. Or maybe this is like Oregon Trail, where I'll end up dying of cholera before reaching my facility, or my car won't be able to be caulked and floated across the Mississippi River to get to OKC, and I'll lose 5 sets of clothing and my ammunition.

Does anyone have any idea about when the next PUBNAT will be up ? I couldnt tell if there was a certain amount of time that they waited or not in between each of those.
 
Good question!! I hope there will be a pubnat9! I've heard rumors that it will post towards the end of january and rumors of not having another pubnat until this summer. But they are just rumors!!
 
well i just made a call to the aviation careers division in okc and asked when pubnat 9 was scheduled to happen!! and they told me it will not be this fiscal year. This fiscal year will end sept 30. So it will be sometime after Oct 1st of 2010.:(
This sucks!!!!!
