***PUBNAT4***

New here. One question...has anyone had there score changed??? I logged on today to ASAP and noticed my score was bumped up .1% and it said it was entered today? I received my score entered like 2 months ago on ASAP. Any ideas??

Also, the hiring panel meet Jan 12th in OKC.

The person who put them in the first time probably screwed the pooch and now that they are getting closer to geo preferences and panels they wanted to have the scores in line to make sure they made their selections properly.
 
I just talked to OKC. They were kind of surprised that scores change. (At least who I talked to.) They stated that they double check scores and they could change.

They just sent PUBNAT4 to a contractor in D.C. to generate emails for Geo Prefs. Should get Geo Prefs soon!:nana2:
 
One question...The process of the referral list? Will you get your geo prefs, then based on that you could be selected for the referral list? How does this work?

Yep... you've got the idea. You'll get the geo pref email and then based on your choices and your AT-SAT score, you'll either be put on a referral list or you won't.

ive gotten in contact with the supervisor at the local tower and hes agreed to get me hired there whenever pubnat4 comes around.

now is this realistic? would the supervisor there have this power?

i was just wondering how the powers of the atc universe came together i guess.

did you get this in writing :) :yup:

All he can do is drop your name to someone that can then drop your name to someone else.... he wouldn't have the power to hire you.
 
If us Pubnat4ers receive our GeoPrefs in the next 2 weeks, can we then directly assume we are being considered for the January panels with the Pubnat3ers?

Or would the FAA send us Geoprefs early just to get them out of the way?
It would seem logical that if we get our geoprefs this month, then we will be considered with pubnat3 in January.

I sure hope so, I'd like to get the ball rolling on this process. :panic:

There is a selection board that sees all qualified applicants. It is very possible for your local supervisor to have the person on the selection board to pull your name when it comes across. However, understand (for example only) if you pick to go to Fresno, CA and you put CA on your Geo Prefs, but they need people in LA, they could send you there even though your local supervisor asked for your name to be pulled for his/her tower. I know that you can choose down to your facility on the Geo Prefs, but they can still offer you another location in that state.

Both the Pubnat3 and Pubnat4 selection board will meet on Jan 12th in OKC. You should get Geo Prefs in the next few weeks if not sooner. The contractor has started generating emails to be sent out.

I hope you're right dredding, as far as I'm concerned thats a best-case scenario. How come so many people seem to think we (pubnat4) won't be considered till April, is it a difference of sources? Whats with all the conflicting information on here..... :panic:
 
To say Pubnat4's selection panel won't meet until April is crazy. I have two reliable sources (I'm not blowing smoke here...I want to get hired just like you) stating that they will meet on Jan 12th. The reason they haven't met sooner is because the Academy at OCK is full. However, ever since Raytheon took over, they opened up two new classes in December.

Here is my guess...They meet in January and we are offered the PEPC in February and March. (TAKE THE PEPC).
 
Speaking of the PEPC, when we are given our PEPC information, is that included with a tentative offer of employment and location?

Or do you find out where they want to put you after the PEPC has been completed?

After reading some of these threads, its looks like either is a possibility?:panic:
 
After you make the referral list and the Hiring Panel chooses you for a location.

I believe they offer you a location and if you accept it, then you have the choice of a PEPC or non-PEPC route. You will know what facility you will be going to before a PEPC. However, you will not get a formal offer and OKC class date until after you have clearances from either route you took. (PEPC vs. non-PEPC.) Again, take the PEPC route.

Has anyone head of an enroute center in the Maryland/Virginia/DC area?

I was told there was a center somewhere near Dulles, but have not been able to find anything about it. Is there some sort of list with all the Center names and contacts on them?

If anyone knows anything, I'd greatly appreciate any info.
