Don't do this! I'm still waiting for them to send the $26 million USD cut of the check I cashed for them. I think it's a scam.

On a more serious note, I toured LGA today and I was like "oh snap!" in 1 hour I saw 2 go arounds and 1 aborted T/O. I want that place
 
I'm going away this weekend but when I get back I better have a GEo Pref email!

BTW my spacebar is sticking and it's pissing me off!
 
Hey Guys! I placed another call today to the careers division. Heard some good news (we'll see if its true).....the lady that answered said that they are working on the geo pref email as we speak for 5 AND 6, and that they should be out next week (Feb 23-27) to all who had a qualifying score (70 +).:rawk:

We shall see if this holds true....Hopefully it does!

For the love of all that's holy, how many times does someone have to be "totally sure" that the emails are coming next week before it actually happens. This has to be the 7th time they've definitely been coming soon.
 
I know!! This is driving me nuts...and I've even called them at multiple different times asking about when the e-mail is supposed to come out and the people at aviation careers are always "sure" that it's going to be within in the next week. Argh!! Alas.
 
You guys are going to be the controllers who agitatedly clear me for an immediate takeoff when there's a Skyhawk doing 70 across the ground on a six-mile final. :bandit:
 
What's funny is how anxious everyone is to get a pointless email. We all know we're ALL going to get it, and it doesn't actually mean anything. So they know your geoprefs now? Who cares? It's not actually any closer to you getting a job.

It is!...emails are timed with panels. The sooner the emails...the sooner the panels.

This is the first time of many that I have called and received something other than "we are not sure, we are still waiting for the clearance". So forgive me if I might seem a little excited. I know that it doesn't really mean a whole lot but at least it makes me feel like I might be getting somewhere even if it is at a snails pace. :crazy:

Oh, and to the person who posted the correction...Thanks! I did mean March not February. Lol! Sorry about that.

Well, yes, timewise you're very right about that. But what I mean is, it doesn't narrow the field or increase your likelihood of getting a job. We all know exactly who is getting the email (everyone).

I think it's just my pessimism looking into the future, specifically 10 seconds after I receive and have responded to this email. Because I know that then begins another several weeks/months of waiting. If this email meant that the process was finally going to start moving, then I'd be stoked, but I know that's not the case :)
 
So given the previous timelines, if there does turn out to be an April panel, what does that mean for the people that get selected? OKC by Christmas?

that would be a great christmas present but in all honesty i think the time frame would probably be closer to this time next year. :banghead:
