PUBNAT 5- Announcement ending 7/31

Do you all think PUBNAT 5 will have to wait for PUBNAT 6 to finish testing before receiving Geo-Prefs? PUBNAT 6 is testing with 5 right?

So you are looking at going to Denver Center in Longmont? That would be convenient.

Wow, way to hang in there! This is definitely going to be a more stable place for you. FL would be a great place to live, I hope you get it :)

Denver Center in Longmont is ideal, I'd love to be able to stay in that area since I lived there for 8 years before moving to greeley for school. Not to mention my parents would pee their pants with joy if I stayed close by, haha. CO in general is a pretty fantastic place to live though, so I wouldn't mind any part of it.

To speak for more northern regions: once you get outside of city limits, yes, very rural areas. However, if you don't go much farther north or east than Boulder County you're still well within a reasonable driving distance to Denver and ski areas. Of course, the farther north you go (with the exception of Fort Collins) the more po-dunk the towns start to get. Sooooo, if you want any kind of an urban or metro feel, go with Denver suburbs as mentioned before. If you want a more suburban or rural feel, venture a little farther north. Do not, under any circumstances, go east of I 25 if you go north of Denver!! It's terrible out this way, that's why I'm running back west.

5 and 6 are testing together, so you'll all finish at the same time...

You'll be waiting, but not because PUBNAT6 is holding things up ;)
 
Chris and FShelBrow3209, thanks for the info. Although I do have to ask, any particular reasons to avoid Pueblo and East of I-25 North of Denver? Also, if you get Minnesota or OKC as a post, I'd be more then willing to help out of where to live, and that goes for anyone else.

Thanks for that offer to help...we'll see if I make it that far! :)

Pueblo just isn't a very good city in general IMO. As far as East of Denver, it becomes very sparse, lots of wide open high desert type areas...lots of tumble weeds! It just depends on personal preference and what type of life style you want. If you are the type that likes being in the middle of nowhere and not too close to "attractions," live ENE of Denver. If you want to have a feeling of suburb type living, but have access to everything within a reasonable drive (10-25) minutes, live in the Western/Southern suburbs of Denver. Though Castle Rock is growing like crazy, it still has the small town feel but everything you want and need close by. We love it here.

I agree with everything said here. I grew up about 10-15 minutes from Boulder and around 30-45 from Denver (in Longmont specifically), so I never really felt like I was in the boonies, but it is more remote than Castle Rock area. Greeley falls into the ENE of Denver category and there is a lot of unattractive social clime (due largely in part to the low socio-economic status and easily affordable housing - a 400K house in Boulder county would go for about 150K if it were located in Weld county), as well as the whole problem with vicious attack tumbleweeds and lots of prairies :)

This idea just crossed my mind when I read your post and I can picture it now...half of the students in the classes in OKC will be asking, "You were on jetcareers? What's your s/n?"

I met several guys on here in OKC when taking AT-SAT last month...Nice to put a face to screen names.
 
Is there anybody here who took the test on Jan 7th in ORD (LISLE)?
The time is coming up get our test results back. :rawk:
 
I took my test in Baltimore on Jan 8th and just got the results.
<LI type=circle>01/16/2009 01:07:15 PM (Central Time): An AT-SAT score of 70 or above is necessary for passing. Your score was 100. Eligible applicants are categorized as "well qualified" or "qualified" based on AT-SAT scores.:nana2::nana2:

Most have one hell of a curve....

Nice, you got your score! As I said I took it on the 7th and called FAA yesterday ... they told me it will take them longer to grade, because they are very busy with setting up interviews for previous PUBNATs. Go figure!
