LOL lie's you tell. Ohio is great for motorcycling RIIIIIght :sarcasm: that's where I live now your lucky to get 6 months in for riding season both states don't have a "season" its year round, I want a Harley once I get checked out!!!
 
HAHA, ok so I don't post here much anymore...you'll see why in a second.
But 1. Florida is GREAT for motorcycle riding...my husband and I ride the Harley all year round and taking the bridges over the water is one of the most beautiful things in the world. :D

2. The reason I don't post here much is because my husband and I have been applying since February 2008. That's right, we are apart of the original Febots...seriously disappointing. The reason? My ATSAT score sucked. But my husbands was awesome, 96 or something, but OKC messed up his work history...so we moved on to PUBNAT 4,5,6, & HI. Passed up for PUBNAT 4 and Hawaii...never got a reason except, "180 facilities are on a hiring freeze, sorry..." :banghead: B.S. since lots of others were selected... So we are borderline desperate for this group of apps.

3. Good luck guys. Take what you can get, this process is LONG and EXHAUSTING!!! I don't know if anyone has been waiting as long as we have, but if you have, you know how sucky this whole waiting game can be.
 
Hi, I thought this would be a good time to introduce myself since we are sharing our dream facilities. Long time troll, first time poster.

I would love to get PIT or AGC (both Pittsburgh area) but really the only facility in PA that I wouldn't want is Erie, although I'll take it if that is where my offer is from.

Are any of you OTS people also veterans? I was told that my Vet (non-ATC) status automatically put me at the top of my testing category, but as far as I know, my status has never been verified besides what I put on my ASAP form.

Also while I am here, has anyone else gotten an error saying their sig can only be four lines (even though the one I tried to make WAS only 4 lines), and what can I do to fix that. thanks!

Your sig can be more than four lines, the only limitation is the amount of characters that your sig can contain.
 
If you are a fair weather only wannabee rider, perhaps. However, Florida has a lot of straight roads. :p

I live in Wichita Falls TX for over a year with the military, so I know what the roads look like there as well. For the most part both states have a lot of straight roads, though for some reason there are some nice roads close to the base.

For normal riders in ohio, you get to ride april to at least the end of october. I also have a winter suit and ride as long as it is above freezing and the roads are good. ( I live close to where 71 and 224/76 come together)

Regardless, when I was in Texas and Oklahoma it was something when I'd keep my visor shut to prevent the air from heating my face.

If you really want a place with nice roads and warmer weather, you need something like TN or VA.

I guess you can call me a wannabe rider then :mad:. I prefer warmer weather states more than Ohio for more than just riding tho. I totally know what you mean by just straight roads rather than dragin a knee here in Ohio. So you live in the Canton, Akron area? If you want some good curves and no cops go to Athens and head to Chillicothe take the long ways lots of hills and lots of curves. I have only rode in Florida not Texas I guess if I really want a thrill tho Ill just go to a track day. If you really want to get crazy go to deals gap, Ive never been there my self seen you tube vids and heard some stories.

If you want a great ride rather than trying to prove your a man by slamin your knee on the ground and pumpin your 600 for all its got, you should go to Florida Keys start at key largo and ride to key west (long ride and wear something over your face or the sand will cut your face litteraly). You can see the beatiful crystal blue water and beach to your left and right for what I think is the 7 mile bridge or something like that (literally one of the best experiences in my life and I didn't have to be riding 120mph to enjoy it). I suggest you rent a harley thats what I did it was a hell of alot of fun. That is a straight rode you will really enjoy.
