I think the biggest reason why I am in such a nervous mood is because we have waited all this time, all to possibly not get selected. A little asinine in my opinion, but 'tis life i guess.

i just had an epiphany....

if we're going to be ATC in hawaii.. where the hell do we get to go for vacations?

a different island?

I guess australia isn't TOO bad albeit an insanely long sit in a plane.. i think there's a nonstop from HNL...

but seriously.. I bet you after a few years on the islands you'll find yourself saying "I'd love to go back to oakland and see a drive-by for my next vacation"

any ideas for better non-hawaii vacations?

I think some Hawaiians actually go to Oregon for vacation, believe it or not.
 
Talked to OKC this morning.. again... and she said if we don't hear anything by mid/late Feb, move on to the next PubNat and check for pub5/6 geoprefs

oh.. another good bit of news.. just to ease.. is that the HR lady person i spoke to said they haven't quite started emailing ANYONE from the Hawaii announcement.. so we needn't stress until someone posts they got contact on the hawaii thread.
