But the career gods aren't necessarily hawaiian in this situation. the location doesn't determine the sacrificial means....

I feel like that indian.. in front of all the garbage..

you know I gotta tell ya, everyone else seems to have some pretty kick ass reps at the aviation careers devision @ OKC. The only thing anyone tells me is "nope not yet you just have to wait and there's no other information we have at this point"

argh.

well, anywho.. whoever it was I spoke to said she knew no one would be contacted today but hinted that the actual time period for contact is still in the works. It is just about 2 weeks exactly since the panels met (12th + 14 days) so I would assume full heartedly that it's coming soon!

I have no real problem waiting some more. Considering I've been waiting since JUNE. So here we go again...more waiting. :P

I've been living in a small town with no social scene, hobbies or decent work + entertainment for 8 months.

I'm about to esplode.
 
Yeah but you can drive a few hours and be someplace else. You are going to be living on an island where the nearest land is over 2,000 miles away. I mean you could drive for a few hours, but you'd just be going in circles :-P

Ah to be living in paradise.

I don't think it'll bother me TOOOO much. lol

It'll be good for 3 years I bet.. before I may want to start planning or looking at a relocation.. that is if I get tired of spearfishing and boogie boarding on the weekends.

and yeah.. hot chicks on vacation get boring after a while I guess..
 
What islands are you guys assigned to. I assume oahu and possibly Hawaii the big island and Maui. All three of those have lots of fun stuff to do. Go get scuba certified, make friends with someone with a sail boat (whale watching). Great spearfishing or normal fishing and beautiful weather for most outdoor sports. Only problem is can you afford to do anything because Hawaii is pretty dang expensive and if your at a level for example 5 or 6 facility making 45k a year that really doesn't go to far in Hawaii. It is beautiful though. I lived in Maui for 2 years and loved it Maui NO ka Oi (maui is the best):)

I'm hoping to get something. Anything really. I'm really not picky at this point.

And I believe that they are still on 3 and 4. 5, 6, and 7 have yet to get a Geo Pref.
