Being new to the 121 side of things, I thought people would be a little more subtle with what they were saying.

As one who is just entering the 121 side of things, you and others are to green to really know anything. You shouldn't be pontificating like you did in post 28, because honestly, you don't know much from the 121 side of things. As you know you are on probation, while on probation it is just best to sit back and observe how things really work to develop opinions from actually living it. For example, when I first broke into the industry I wasn't a rabid unionist (I was actually a Republican), but seeing things the first year I was at Colgan QUICKLY changed my view on the world. If that sort of change can occur with me the first year in the industry, it can happen to anyone if they sit back and open their ears instead of their mouths.

Same thing when you change airlines, you sit back, shut up and observe.

You and others are to green to the industry and to your respective airlines to not know what you don't know.

Don't worry Tallflyer, since Seggy is 5-10 years ahead of you in the industry you get to hear this same broken record for the rest of your existence here on JC. When you're a senior FO, it's STFD, you can talk when you make CA. When you make CA, it's STFD, you can talk when you're flying for a LCC. When you're at a LCC, it's STFD, you can talk when you make mainline FO. Enjoy and welcome to JC.

Hate to burst your bubble, but juxtapilot has said some things about the 1500 rule that I don't agree with, but as he is living it, I haven't engaged him as he probably knows better than me.

I don't know, the idea that there's some single voice or single mantra is ridiculous. We're a sum of our parts and when someone runs off and bitches about the environment, they're really bitching about themselves.

Hell, I think Michael Jackson wrote a song about it even.

Their opinion is as valid as mine as I have as much as if not more than either. It doesn't make me crazy, they have a different experience.

In the end, they're perspectives, bro. You're more than free to express your counter-perspective to what you feel is the "broken record" of a website with thousands of individual perspectives.
