PSA CRJ incident

I've decided the things on the plane that I want to fail the least are the triggers that prevent you from going from idle to shut off. The way some people smack the thrust levers around I find it surprising it hasn't happened already.

Thats one of my after start rituals. Give them a bump to make sure.
 
Every time an airplane puts *one* wheel in the grass, even at low speed, that makes the national news. This, however, does not? What am I missing?
 
I hear ya. Was just hoping I'd learn something on here every now and then since I fly the short bus version of this.
Back to reading my book by the pool.
