PNCL pilots are our brothers! Unity?

This is something that a lot of people don't realize. Something like 150+ guys were brought on at colgan after the merger was announced. Our relative seniority has gone up quite a bit with that hiring and even with a 100% relative seniority merger we won't get to take advantage of those that have been hired since July 1. I don't mean that as a complaint, just to make it clear to those complaining about all our growth and how it's unfair to use it as "leverage" in a relative merger. A relative merger will still yield colgan roughly a 6-1 integration

Keep in mind that there might be a certain point at which people hired recently may go to the end of the senioritiy list, like what Bloch did with the Delta SLI.

Looks like someone needs to be educated on the joined Protocol agreement for Pinnacle/Mesaba/Colgan:

"8. Pilots hired by PCL, MSA and CJC on and after July 1, 2010 shall be placed in order of date of hire on the ISL (in accordance with relevant provisions of the PCL and MSA pilot collective bargaining agreements and CJC company policy) just below the most junior MSA/PCL/CJC pilot hired prior to July 1, 2010, subject only to determination of seniority above such position on the ISL for all MSA furloughed pilots hired by PCL or CJC after July 1, 2010 under MOU’s among the carriers and the ALPA."

So yeah, July 1 is the snapshot, and there will be the integrated list with Bloch's method, and then everyone hired after July 1 will be placed at the bottom in order of DOH starting from July 1 2010 and onwards to present day.

Well, true, back in 2005/2006, I was anti-Gulfstream thanks to the propoganda machine led by Doug and his fellow followers, Zombies. Many people on this forum blindly thought the word being spread here was the gospel, and that he was just, and right. Years later, after having flown with Gulfstream people, and having gone through a RJ transition course, I don't think Gulfstream is a "bad" program. Now you wanna scream "hold the unity! save this industry!" then go take your picket boards to ALPA's Herndon headquarters. That's where your chanting belongs, not at Gulfstream. Gulfstream is just another way to enter the pilot industry. People argue that it drives down this profession because they can 'hire' a program graduate instead of hiring someone qualified on the streets (a street-hire). Guess what? Gulfstream (until recently) is a private enterprise. Now they are public. But regardless, it's a business, and that business can do what it takes to thrive and make money. Obviously, there is a market for those pilots who don't want the CFI route, the banner towing, traffic watch, etc. Gulfstream works for them, got them hired at Pinnacle (or other places) and then advanced on. One of our current Asst Chief pilots graduated college, attended Gulfstream, hired at Pinnacle, upgraded, became checkairmen, and then got hired at United at the age of 27 right at the end of 2007. He was furloughed, and came back to Pinnacle. Gut guess what? Going to Gulfstream didn't hurt him one bit, and if anything, shaved several years off in his goal to get to where he wanted, the majors. My views on Gulfstream have changed. I say if you want to do it, and have the money for it, then go do it. I have no problem with Gulfstream.

Yes comrade Cherokee, it makes me glad you listened to us.

I've got to wonder... is this guy a troll and he's just having some fun at everybody expense? There is no way that he could have survived in the industry as long as he has and not had some captain (or other FO) push him down a set of stairs somewhere. Or does 9E really have that many toolbags that he just blends in with the rest? Everybody I personally know over there are top notch people so unless that's an anomaly, I just don't get it.

I don't know. We have C.O. In TYS and he still has all limbs attached and unbroken.

I have to think this is a guy who guards his thoughts at work and lets it all out here under anonymity. Less than a day away from the list. This time tomorrow may be interesting or simply equal displeasure amoung a few thousand of us.

I have it on good word that the Gulfstream Training Academy has been shut down by the new Gulfstream Airline owners. They are going to run an airline--not a training academy from now on.

i have an idea on who he is. Not 100% tho. But if i am correct in my assumption than the guy on the message board is totally different guy in the flightdeck. Or so i have heard. We used to have an internal message board that got shut down and he was very active on there as well. My friend flew with him and said he was very quiet, and he added he knows his stuff, one of the better FOs at our company.

That's very possible Blee. The captain over here that CirrusMonkey is talking about is a keyboard ninja and says the absolute most stupid things on our company forum, but in person he's actually nice.

Good night guys! Good luck tomorrow to all. I hope everyone gets what they hope for. Even you Cherokee :) You P in the A :)

we're all on the same team."
