Plane Wreckage found Near Cave Creek Az

I'll admit that I was fortunate enough one night to recognize the plane was five minutes ahead of where I thought. These night missions need planning and I doubt the schedule at T-Pac (as with other big flight schools in the country) allow for that kind of detailed planning while pushing instructors to fly 4 flights a day working 12-14 hour days 6 days a week. I wish there was an instructor union so that these schools can't try to push us to the brink. My thoughts and prayers are with the crews families.

Believe it. And know it's only going to keep happening. Never gets any easier though.
 
RIP. News like this makes me really thankful to be alive considering I am an instructor as well and do quite a bit of night flying from time to time...

You make it sound as if night flying is so dangerous that you're lucky to barely be alive after every sortie you go on. At least thats how its interperted.....:)

Well not dangerous....but it's just weird seeing stuff like his happen out of nowhere.

Yes, I can imagine how it could be disconcerting to one when stuff like this happens. But all you can do is move on, be safe as you can still, and hopefully there will be something that can be learned from this tragedy to be able to pass on to others.

Yes, she will be missed and I never thought this would ever happen to someone we know. RIP.

We touched on this in my pilot meeting this morning. There were 2 fatal flight training flights in february that I know of. One was at transpac and one was at phoenix east. Both were dual flights.

Stay sharp and fly safe...

RIP to those lost. :(
