Steve Schreiber (the other pilot) is a very good friend of mine. Another friend called me this morning to tell me what happened, so I've been on the phone most of the morning trying to find out details. Steve works for Showalter doing line service and is a former ATA student (so some of you other guys might know him). He's been working at Showlater for almost two years now, and he's been building time working towards a corporate job.
From what I can gather from my friends, Steve had a plate put in his arm and surgery done on his face. He's in good spirits and is going to pull though. I didn't know Dan, but my thoughts go out to his family. If their roles had been reversed, I'd be on a plane to Orlando for a friend's funeral.
