Lol. Ginger tries very hard for all of us and we appreciate it. Jodi, James (I think), Holly, Matt (I think), ... I can't remember everyone's name but there are loads more and they are all great. DG is gone and that's all any of us care about :)

I wish I could remember all the dispatchers names, I used to talk to them more regularly when I was a Captain, but fine folks all of them.

Ginger :rotfl: ......as long as its legal on paper and I have enough gas I dont have to argue :yup::sarcasm:.
Seriously she has gotten WAY better than when she first started. The dispatchers are over worked and under paid just like us.

Well I haven't been here for a decade, I just know when I was dealing with her and the rest of the dispatch core for (almost) 2 years I was very happy with them.

You have to admit the worst one was DG (dangerous goods) and he's finally been canned.

Thanks for all the great comments about our dispatch department. It is true, we are overworked and underpaid, but we do have a good group of people working in this department. We look forward to seeing what happens in the future and hopefully can get the respect and love from the Colgan pilots as well.

was the worst. I like our current dispatch and have never had any horrible experiences like other from other companies describe. I'm praying that doesnt change. The only dispatch showdowns I have ever been in was with the aforementioned "Dangerous Goods" and Spice girl.

Yeah but that post wont do you any good when they find out who you are, and believe me they will. These boards are FAR from anonymous. Plus you work for Pinnacle now. No matter how much you deny or hate it you are part of the family. I would suggest you come to terms with it.
 
What I think is interesting is how much people are worried or feel bad for the mesaba guys when they come over if they get the 2 to 1. Lets not forget that in 1999 we had guys go to mesaba at a 3 to 1 seniority transfer. And mesaba told us that was generous of them to allow that. The only reason we have that LOA is because mesaba was gracious enough to make us a deal because they knew for sure they would be growing and pinnacle would be going away. They had no idea back then when they were being nice to us by giving us a 2 to 1 clause that it would actually be them that would be doing the shrinking.

I have nothing against the mesaba pilots. I wasn't here during that debacle. I did however have lots of friends here while that was going on. The mesaba pilots treated the pinnacle pilots like dirt back then when they got the 3 to 1 transfer. I think most of the mesaba pilots are good folks and there has been a lot of turn around since then but don't be surprised when they guys that have been here since then bring up how mesaba treated them in the past. Unfortunately for mesaba the people that will be negotiating the integration of the pilot groups are more than likely going to be the people here who remember that treatment all to well.

Or, perhaps, you're being Internet Tough Guy trying to spread the Happy Juice.

Eh, it's happened at Mesaba's "mesabapilots" forum before. Management coming after you is a real thing, even if they get rid of that CP shortly afterwards due to "draconian" measures. No one got any letters in their files I don't think, though I've been wrong before.

Anyhoot. As far as those images, I'm sorry they don't come through on my computer so I can't even tell what they are if asked :). Very weird I admit as it only happens to be evident on Walts posts. *shrug* I dearly hope no one at Pinnacle management was offended, oh heavens!

Lol. Far from an internet tough guy. I'm just a regular Joe. No tough guy or kool-aide here. Just saying people have been terminated for putting what would be described as negative image posts before. So posting things like that about the company you work for probably isn't a good thing. That's all I am saying.
 
there is starting to be a lot of internet bickering about this on the major internet sites. Its going to happen but we all have to take a look at the big picture here. When the dust settles there are going to be some upset people its impossible to please everyone. We have to find a way to minimize that though by doing what is right for everyone's best interest. Its going to be tricky because they are treating the transfer of jets to pinnacle as a transfer of assests and not a merger while the colgan side is a straight up merger. We have to remember that internet message boards only make up about 15% of the pilot group, the rest just casually read or dont look at all, so the bickering is not as bad as it seems. I would say most of the pilot group wants to work together to make it fair for everyone involved. As far as this LOA goes, just becuase something happend in the past does not mean that revenge must be had. I hope that pinnacle pilots take the higher road and welcome mesaba pilots and get them fairly integrated with us so that we can become a unified force going forward.

Talk about working for a totalitarian company then.

Does this company go after the original photographers of said photographs? Or just the employees that link them or use public use images in a collage?

I suppose I just don't see the big deal.

Shouldn't management have larger issues, such as seniority list integration, 9E contract negotiations, providing better customer service, finding ways to really become an efficient contract company or saving money through such advancements, instead of trying to have a witch hunt for some poor guy who put together a damn collage? Seriously?

Sounds like a real dick of a company to work for.

So there are a couple photos showing the Company's bad days and accidents, did they not happen? Are they supposed to be ignored now? Rather than perhaps learned from? What a joke. Really feel for you 9E guys if it's really THAT damn bad over there.
