Um, yeah, you forgot one: Saab CA was #3 group. All the CAs got the first 3 groups, the FOs the bottom 3 groups. In summary, the ones who made out like absolute bandits are all the Colgan Captains hired in 2007, 2008, 2009. Doesn't matter if they were Q400 or Saab. They single-handedly just got to jump over every single FO on the seniority list. Essentially, my fear came true.
On the flip side of the coin, the real losers are the long time Saab FOs at Mesaba. Some of these guys have been there from 2004, 5, 6, and 7, and are now below all jet FOs. I'll admit, that sucks, and is not fair to them.
Congrats to you super-junior Colgan CAs, sherpa, woncie, and all the other ones here. You got your super-seniority jump over people who were physically senior to you.
Do you not understand how this works? Just because some one is a Saab FOs is don't mean they will be below all jet FOs. Say there is a Mesaba Saab FO that is number 280 on their list. Group one (900 CA) has 260 Mesaba pilots and Group Two has 150 Mesaba pilots he would be the 20th Mesaba pilot put into group two even though he is a Saab FO.
Hmmm. I may have just learned something. It's not technically a category method, it depends on your number specifically? For example, the CRJ-900 CA positions (270 at Mesaba and 100 at Pinnacle), the first 370 spots on the list are the 900 category CAs. But if the #50 guy on the Mesaba list is a Saab 340 Captain, then he is technically in this category? He'll fall in here? Similarly, if the #100 guy at Pinnacle is actually a CRJ-FO at DTW, he'll fall in here at the 900 category, being the #100 on the Pinnacle list?
Do I have that right?

Nice. Before calling someone an idiot, make sure your usage of "your" is correct. Try "you're" next time.Cherokee your an idiot!!!
DBAG!!!

Yes thats how I understand it. Its not necessarily the individual. Its the seat/slot.
If you go by numbers alone, for Mesaba, the first 272 spots are CRJ-900 captains, next 88 are CRJ-200 captains, and the next 132 are Saab Captains. 272+88 = 360. If Mesaba pilot #371 is actually a CRJ-900 Captain, he now falls in the next category, Saab Captain, for purposes of this list?
If this is true, holy cow that sucks. And yes, if this is the case, I stand corrected about my previous post. I thought it was strictly (straight-up) spots on the list corresponding to pilot holding current position.

How is there not a single Colgan person between 49-75%??
Mods, this is inflammatory, personal, and unneccessary. I've had my share of warnings for offending others, but my post initially was based on my interpretation. If I stand corrected, so be it. But personal attacks and name calling have no place. I expect this post to be modified, just as many of mine have been (some with time off) due to "offending" another poster.

I get it now. The award could also be stated as:
The first 372 positions on the ISL will be occupied by the first 272 Mesaba pilots and the first 100 Pinnacle pilots, in a ratio of 272:100, starting with a Mesaba pilot.
The next 818 positions on the ISL will be occupied by the next 88 Mesaba pilots, next 582 Pinnacle pilots, and the first 149 Colgan pilots, in a ratio of 88:581:149, starting with a Mesabainnacle:Colgan ratio.
Rinse, repeat.
I think I've got it now.
I am a SEP 08' hire and lost 20% on the new list when looking at it from a relative point of view, however, with the fences I don't think it will be a bad thing....I hope!
