Pilots and Tattoos

My sister has a tattoo. She's teaching medicine at one of the best medical schools in the country.

I'll be sure to tell her some people think that tattoo means she's stupid.
Almost everyone she meets will not know she is a med student. And if the only thing I know about someone is that they have a tattoo I would have to assume they are an idiot. First impressions are important.

Sigh... forget it.

Technically, neither is a tattoo. The only point I was getting at, is that it's a stupid statement, like some of the others mentioned. But apparently he has the same positive viewpoint on motorcycles too. That being said, I'm done on this thread.

I'm out too.

Too much ridiculous crap for one night.

She's not a student, so that would be a good assumption to make.

She's teaching. As in a professor.

And if you assume that people are idiots just because they've got ink, well, you know what they say about assuming.

I try to judge people by how they act but hey, feel free to make assumptions. Go ahead and assume that I'm an engineer and don't speak English well just because of my race. When it becomes clear that assumption is wrong, well, someone's gonna feel like a dumbass, and it won't be me.

And Hasselhoff and Taylor, you want my sister's number? Uh, no. However, if you do need gynocological services for the women in your life.....

LOL Yeah I'm the tool. I'm the one who paid money to have my skin permanently marked because I wanted to fit in and look cool. Like I said early it cracks me up when people who copy things they see on MTV call themselves rebels and say straight edges like me are selling out to the man.

Come on Tony, you can't blame the pervs here for thinking "potential hot asian chick with a back tattoo AND a medical degree". Come on, it's almost friday bro! :)

(I'm just joking, if I went too far, I humbly apologize.)

Tool.

Is this lav worthy yet so I can say what I really think?

Or you could keep your temper in check and not get all worked up about what one idiot on the internet thinks...

I would post that one thing I wrote again but at this point I don't think it would do any good. Are some assumptions wrong? Sure, but the things about stereotypes and generalizations is they are usually true. How can people be so obtuse I never said that everyone with a tattoo was an idiot and you provide a few counter example like that proves me wrong.

No seriously, Doug's onto something here.

Does she have a sister, Tony? Or maybe a brother for Max?

If I followed that convoluted conversation correctly, it sounded like you were setting Tony up with Max. :)

Paraphrase: "Does Tony's sister have a brother to hook up with Max?"

:D

It's not about a temper it's about freedom of expression and fact finding.
Express whatever you want you can't offend me. Like I said earlier I hope everyone gets tattoos I don't hate people who let the media decide who they are in fact I love them because they aren't in competition with me anymore.

Except that your stereotype is wrong. ALOT of people have ink these days. So how about getting inked up in memory of a lost loved one, or the show they served our country, or have pride about something, or just want to express themselves.......it goes on and on. As you can tell no one is buying your generalizations crap.

What competition?

Ok but I think most tattoos are done just to fit in and doing something permanent like that is a very stupid way to do that.
