Pilot Jobs in PA

How about western PA, non-CFI gigs? Charter? Corporate? Burger King?

not much here. I live in PIT and there is nada to be found. then again this time of year this is normal, not much growth (if any) comes until the spring.

Heinz and Bayer came up briefly, but they were taken long before the ad was even published. Most of the Corp positions have a list that are in the double digits

I heard this morning that a Lear operator in Latrobe (spelling?) is hiring. I'm sure by the time I was able to get more information you'll be able to get it.

LJ is a dead end, and most stuff out of AGC is salivated over, has been for years. With Voyager laying off, there is really only Corporate Air and im pretty sure even they arent hiring. I do know they laid off a bunch of guys on the PIT side, but who would want to work for Mark anyway? lol

I assume you are talking about LJ Aviation being a dead end? Just curious why? I always got the impression that it was a good place to work.

LJ isnt hiring. Thats why it is a dead end.

Some of my friends work there, Ill keep my ear to the ground. If I hear anything ill post something up.

As for Corporate Air, I wouldnt touch that place with a ten foot pole. If you feel like living a life of indentured servitude while being constantly screamed at...apply!

Oh and there are a ton of places around... Prospect in Beaver sometimes looks for guys, 84 lumber in Rostraver looks at people, Skyward in Washington I swear Ron is always looking for guys, I think Voyager in AGC might be on the way out not sure though. They look for alot of experience though. Like I said, I have flown with alot of the guys in Western PA so any questions, hit me up. Hopefully I can help or steer you in the right direction....

That's on par with everything I've heard. I've heard *second hand information coming* they make you sign the training contract even if you're typed already. Then, you sign one every 6 months for recurrent.

Not a good idear...

No, more like a 3 year contract and they send you out to get typed in something else every 3 years so...a new 3 year contract. And trying to get out early requires massive amounts of money.

But even after that, its still working for MS. S thats a no-go right there....

you also need some serious time to be considered as well as being comfortable in cowboy boots (nothing personal against wearing them, just not all the time).

Also a lot of favoritism at that place...

I second Corporate Air.. maybe it if was the LAST flying job in the country I would considered it. Regardless most of the guys I know who came and gone from them ran screaming and did not look back!
