Pilot Inspires 5yo by Waving

I think I'll fly my own airplane to the beach this weekend. Sounds like more fun than waving at kiddos who were planted by the propaganda department. :)
We understand you don't like the culture at Southwest, and left. We get it.

You need to see the forest though the trees. This has nothing to do with Southwest; (well kind of) according to another report, the Southworst crew was the only one to wave back to the kid.

Get off your low horse, and understand this is a story not about Southwest, but a kid being inspired about aviation. You of all people, need to stand back, suck up your angst, and support the growth of aviation. Especially since you can directly contribute to the next generation of aviators through Young Eagles.

You need to chill out and realize that I didn't even click the link, because I refuse to watch Southwest clickbait. You like it? Good for you. I don't like anything having to do with Southwest, and never will. Deal with it.

Dude, read what I wrote. As a matter of fact, I'll quote myself.

The video reminds me of when I have traveled with my kids and the pilots have taken the time to show my kids the front office. It makes a good impression on my kids. So...thank you to all of you 121 guys/gals that take a few minutes and make a child's day.

Considering how fast I have seen Southwest taxi, I'm surprised the photo of the plane isn't a little more blurred.
I was unfortunate enough to fly Spirit last summer out of DFW. Between the gate and 17L, I felt I was riding in a F1 car.

It was a wave from a United DC-10 FO through the terminal windows at SeaTac in 1976, and a follow-up trip to the cockpit on that flight in which the FE gave me a set of wings, that set the fire in my belly for commercial aviation. I may have taken a 25+ year detour into a military aviation career, but in the back of my mind this experience was always orbiting and waiting...

Whenever we're reminiscing over great, lost airliner liveries, I always post the "brady-bunch" United DC-10 from the late 70s because, to this day, seeing that still gives me that excitement I had as a kid when I saw it through that terminal glass.

Formative experiences are powerful.

EDIT: I still have those wings -- they're at my parents' house. I'm gonna go dig those things out...maybe they'll come in handy someday.
