Pilatus PC-24 twin jet, who's first in line????

Only slightly faster than a tprop with a lot less useful load possibly. Does have a lower ref speed than both tprops I fly though.
Let me tell you how annoyed I was when I followed an eclipse once! LOOOOOOL Really, REALLY? You can get that slow???? :D

Maybe they thought they should make an airplane capable of flying over water.

PC12s fly over water all the time, Australians use them all over the South West Pacific, several companies use them to fly between Greenland and Europe..never heard of any PC12 going swimming.

The market is a graveyard of less than stellar entry level jets. The mustang can't fly from the east coast with four people to the Midwest without stopping for fuel in winter winds. Phenom 100 is a disaster with bad brakes, batteries, and the only plane I know of that will hot/hung start with FADEC. The E-collapse 500 is "The Walking Dead" of airplanes, just kill it already! The Raytheon premier is quickly becoming a forgotten bastard jet. The Honda jet will likely be DOA, if arrival ever happens.....how many years have we seen the ads?...........at least 10.

Just because people do it doesn't mean it's a smart thing to do. I won't fly the AR routes between ILM and South Florida, and I can't say i feel warm and fuzzy on a 20 mile downwind at 2000 going into ACK.

It's all about risk management. People fly light twins every day. But if they bag an engine (more likely than a pilatus) they have a negative climb. I'm sure we have all flown one of those for flight training.

I'm looking forward to what the Swiss can do with 2 motors.

Agreed, I feel the Deuce is safer than a piston twin, but it's still a good idea to try to mitigate risk as much as possible. I feel that flying long legs over water isn't a good idea in a PC-12.

If this can get a heavy load and long legs across the country I know we would be a buyer. Unfortunately nothing can touch our B200 right now.

400+ KT cruise with 1500mile, 1000lb payload range with flaps and or slats to make a sub 100kt ref would be sweeeet.

Pilatus has yet to build an airplane that hasn`t sold, they are very conservative as far as building new models..I doubt it won`t work out and the US are not the only place where airplanes fly.

A friend of mine is an engineer for Honda in North Carolina... it's a very real program and will be a game changer.
