Let me tell you how annoyed I was when I followed an eclipse once! LOOOOOOL Really, REALLY? You can get that slow????Only slightly faster than a tprop with a lot less useful load possibly. Does have a lower ref speed than both tprops I fly though.
Maybe they thought they should make an airplane capable of flying over water.
PC12s fly over water all the time, Australians use them all over the South West Pacific, several companies use them to fly between Greenland and Europe..never heard of any PC12 going swimming.
It's all about risk management. People fly light twins every day. But if they bag an engine (more likely than a pilatus) they have a negative climb. I'm sure we have all flown one of those for flight training.Just because people do it doesn't mean it's a smart thing to do. I won't fly the AR routes between ILM and South Florida, and I can't say i feel warm and fuzzy on a 20 mile downwind at 2000 going into ACK.

A friend of mine is an engineer for Honda in North Carolina... it's a very real program and will be a game changer.The market is a graveyard of less than stellar entry level jets. The mustang can't fly from the east coast with four people to the Midwest without stopping for fuel in winter winds. Phenom 100 is a disaster with bad brakes, batteries, and the only plane I know of that will hot/hung start with FADEC. The E-collapse 500 is "The Walking Dead" of airplanes, just kill it already! The Raytheon premier is quickly becoming a forgotten bastard jet. The Honda jet will likely be DOA, if arrival ever happens.....how many years have we seen the ads?...........at least 10.
