Take it however you like, but this is straight from Mr. M.S. on the company website Q&A forum:

Q. Their is a rumor coming from sby that piedmont will start flying in phx by next year summer. A. We are in the process of performing a business analysis to see if a western operation could prove to be cost effective. There are many hurdles to overcome and we are working through each of those issues. We don't want to put the cart before the horse here, but we are excited by the possibility of performing flying out west. More to follow.

A. "Their" is possessive. For example: Mesa currently has a PHX Dash-8 base, it is currently "LCC's" flying. ;)

Sorry....

All (both) of my airline jobs have been living off flying that other carriers (for whatever reason) choose not to do.

Why do educated pilots have such a tough time with spelling and grammar. I mean, this is elementary level stuff.
I know how to use their, they're, and there. But I make that mistake typing online sometimes too and don't notice it right away. People are only human.

Hey now, I didn't ask the "their" question. I was merely copying and pasting what was on the wensite. :-) Although, I do sometimes make grammar mistakes too! We are all human.

I should start posting our memos or (god forbid) some of the Crew Trac messages. You'd have a field day. The people that write them claim to be high school graduates. Some even claim college. How they passed English, I have NO idea.
