Piedmont PHX Flying (Part 3,294)

I should start posting our memos or (god forbid) some of the Crew Trac messages. You'd have a field day. The people that write them claim to be high school graduates. Some even claim college. How they passed English, I have NO idea.

I find the correspondence that I get from people who are certainly high school, and most college, educated to be absolutely mind boggling. This is basic, 5th grade grammar.

It is also the internet. And most type entirely too fast these days and do not care to re-read what they have typed.... And thus a forum?

What I was talking about isn't even the internet. It's inter office/inter department BUSINESS memos and e-mail.
 
For Jace, what base you have heard for PHX flying? I have heard quite few places other than PHX. ;)

I believe it when my name is on release and I have to sign for it. :insane:

For MikeD, PDT have more than few planes which might require to retire to your direction. If that happens, Jace and I will be looking for job. :(

Don't get your hopes up boyz..word on the Tempe street is that mainline will likely discontinue Dash service out of PHX altogether vs. bringing PDT out west...They just don't have the capitol for the airplanes...
 
Don't give em any ideas...They probably would tomorrow if they could figure out how to cover the lift cheaper...We are by no means out of the woods insofar as a shutdown and before this whole economic disaster is all over it still remains to be seen if Airways as a whole even survives. Despite the rosey picture management has been trying to paint lately alongside our drinkin the koolaid union suckups we got a long way to go until we are out of the frying pan. I hope things improve, but I'm prepared to deal with it if it all goes even farther south...I got myself a backup plan and any Piedmonster with even half a brain should have one too...
 
I heard AWAC was buying PDT and it's going to be a staple. No more east coast bases it will be all midwest flying.
 
I heard PDT is buying the retired or soon to be retired space shuttles, and they will be doing PHL-LGA runs with it.
 
No you are mistaken....We passed on the Shuttles...we are buying the Venture Star instead and will be doing suborbital routes between Paris and Roanoke Va contracted to Virgin Galactic....
 
RSG, I'm hoping you can explain the "koolaide drinking union suck up" comment so that we know exactly who on the PDT MEC you refer to? The chairman? The negotiating comm? Your rep? Thanks!
 
I read on flightinfo you guys are getting either a Durango, CO base, or Farmington, NM base.

Sweet.
Doubt it'd be Farmington, NM - US Airways Express doesn't fly there. However, great Lakes does fly to PHX from Farmington, NM.

It'd probably be some small outstation base like PDT currently runs crew base structure. Either Yuma, AZ, Durango, CO, Grand Junction, CO, or Flagstaff, AZ are the "rumored" bases, and of course Phoenix itself as a crew base.
 
d00d I've love a Grand Junction base! Close to Vail, minutes from Fruita, 45 minutes from Moab.

It's an outdoor paradise right there.
