Phony degree.

Nice try.

I've never pencil-whipped time and it wasn't a 172.

Also you can plan on pot being legal coast to coast before the decade is out. Hopefully anyway.

I'm sure it'll be legal...but most employers are still gonna fire you If they find it in your system.

I think pot should be legal, but I have a difficult time putting a lot of trust in people who think it's of utmost importance that it happens. I'm a self proclaimed coffee addict. Love the stuff. Need a cup within two hours of being awake. If it became illegal for some reason, making it legal again would probably be #99 on my list of "top 10 things I find important."

Not saying that everyone who smokes is a loser in their parents basement. Just that those who are really concerned about it might not have the best of priorities.

And yet you can get smashed and fly 8hrs later.

Sorry, that's why it's so hard for me to respect asinine laws and policies; they make no sense.

I guess I'm not professional enough for the airlines, hopefully I can get a job piloting drones.
After reading the threads that you started back in 2008, one thing is very apparent. You haven't matured or learned a damn thing in 5 years. You have chosen a profession laden with Federal rules and regulations, not to mention those that are imposed by employers in said field, yet you want to break and not adhere to the ones that you don't personally like and you have decided which rules are stupid and don't matter. You have no concept of why any of the rules are in place, you simply don't care and when you make statements such as the one I am quoting, you are also completely wrong and talking out of your ass.

Try convincing a potential employer of your inane notions and see how well that goes for you.

Do yourself and everyone else a favor, and I have never given this advice to anyone posting on this forum before ever, but find another job in another field outside of professional aviation. You aren't professional or mature enough to be behind the controls of any aircraft, you have wasted everyone's time, killed any networking possibilities and support you may have gotten from this forum and it's members and are an embarrassment. You have nothing of any real value or advice to contribute here.

Your entire attitude wreaks of a teenage spoiled brat that is lazy and believes himself too good to take all the necessary steps to do what required to become a professional pilot in almost any aviation field with a future. You don't have what it takes to make the commitment needed. You even stated in a post back in 2008 at the age of 23, that you were going back to school. Now in 2014 it's all about getting a phony degree online and how that is just as valid as a real education.

You didn't come here asking for real advice or to be educated, you came here to start arguments, espouse your ridiculous notions of how things should be, then throw a tantrum when you don't get your way and are shown how wrong you are and how screwed up your attitude is and why. It's all about some of the lamest excuses that I have ever witnessed on this forum, short cuts and doing what you want to do. You have shown no integrity, and you don't get the big picture outside of your little narrow world and never will. You'll get no where hopefully with this attitude and at least the skies will be a bit safer for the rest of us.

I'm in favor of legalization (or at least decriminalization) mostly as I see the War on Drugs as a War on People who Use Drugs. Bits about the militarization of police and the people becoming the enemy of the state go here. It has little to do with a desire to go out and use it myself, and even so the Feds and my employer will continue to mandate my being drug-free.

Indeed, I want a drug-free workplace just as much as they do - if not more.

Oh @Holocene ...

I haven't read most of this thread but:

You are savior of the downtrodden... He who has to pencil-whip time while rolling a 172, going home to smoke pot and find a fake degree. :D

When are you applying to Endeavor?

This was exactly my point. The OP has a clear history of trying to circumvent the proper path to professional aviation. It's difficult, if not impossible, for the Leopard to change it's spots.....or at least that's what I've heard. ;)

Actually, a hangover is still considered a state of intoxication and therefore still illegal, regardless of a random or reasonable suspicion test blow of .02 or less...

You won't find it in the FARs, beyond your responsibility to determine if you're fit to fly. Company policy is another matter.

The AIM does warn that following moderate consumption, 12 to 24 hours should take precedence over the 8hr law.

Sorry you feel I'm unsafe.

You may make any judgement you wish, claim I'm devoid of ethics and integrity and that's fine. However I know I've never operated a plane in an unsafe manner and nothing you can say will change this.

"While under the influence of alcohol".

Duly noted, except "hangover" is totally subjective, and some may not even experience it.

It's far from smart, but it's still perfectly legal to get buzzed and fly 8hrs later. I'm not sure why you guys wanted to argue this.

Not necessarily. If you're over .04 it isn't, or if you still can feel effects (hangover or otherwise) it isn't. The regs place a lot of trust in you to have the integrity to not fly impaired.

Regardless of if you are technically sober, there's still the big F in IMSAFE....fatigue which is a side effect of getting hammered.

The grammar "has sank" is improper.

(If too-much flesh tone on a webpage sets-off the net nanny idiots, what's this symbol going to do!?)
