Passenger lights firecrackers as Northwest Airlines flight lands in Detroit; minor injuries reported.
(CNN) -- A passenger on a Northwest Airlines flight Friday from Amsterdam, Netherlands, to Detroit, Michigan, caused a brief disturbance at the end of the trip by igniting several firecrackers, according to a Delta Air Lines spokeswoman.
The passenger was immediately subdued, according to Susan Elliott, spokeswoman for Delta, Northwest's parent company.
The incident resulted in some minor injuries, Elliott said.
The FBI is investigating the incident, bureau spokeswoman Sandra Berchtold told CNN.
The plane, which landed around noon, was carrying 278 passengers.
The Transportation Security Administration had no immediate comment.

Come on, you know they didn't check her. Women aren't terrorists. We're all perfect angels that never do anything wrong.good thing the 'powder' from the crackers was picked up by the super doplar chemical sniffer the TSA uses....:laff:
My bet: Someone popped the cord on one of those little champagne bottle confetti bottles.
I can't figure out why anyone would be celebrating an arrival into Detroit, so I may be wrong.

At least one per block of 50 passengers!
MQAAORD is going to kill me now.
No clothes or luggage, so you can't hide anything?Great. Let's see what kind of knee-jerk do nothing rule the TSA imposes on everyone now.
