An interesting twist to this would be, what would happen if THE Captain passed out at minimums while he was the PF and ended up slouched on the yoke?

The tension reels on the shoulder harness probably wouldn't let that happen.

If the plane is on autopilot the captain falling unconscious on the yoke wouldn't that turn the AP off, causing the plane to go into a dive?

And Matthew does not watch Chapelle's show.

(the racial draft... Tiger Woods... anyone?)

Actually I saw that episode. Bout the funniest episodes I have seen are the ones with him playing Rick James and Charlie Murphy.

Cocaine is a helluva drug!

"Hold by drink $((*$, I'm Rick James"

I think a lot of people here have gotten that on their cell phone from me

I still think the best chapelle's show was the one where he wondered what it would be like if the internet was a real place.

Lol! The pop up ad guys got the sh*t beat out of them.

All very nice, but what if your on a TransAtlantic and there's no airports for some time?

Find the nearest airport! There are options on transatlantic, such as Greenland, Iceland, or those islands that I always forget the name of, ahh dammit, where the Air Transat landed.

You just can't continue with your captain like that, he needs help and he needs it fast.

Also ask in the cabin if anyone is a doctor! Wise thing to do.

Before the flight, the Capt. bought a meal from a third rate restaurant, and is now consuming it inflight (say, FL350 over Iowa). You're the F/O. He initially complains of slight dizziness. Suddenly, he passes out. Full unconscious, falling over the control yoke. Since you didn't eat from the same restaurant, you're fine. What would you do? Starting from him being slouched over the control yoke...

?

I almost passed out last week in the back deadheading because it was so hot and the packs wouldnt cool the plane. Seriously. I started seeing stars. The FA told me later that I did not look like I was doing ok.

I was in Aspen last week helping the SkyWest station out there when I almost passed out. Picture it...bright sunny 75 degree morning, no breakfast, 105 bags, and the freakin' heat was on in the pit! My first time working the CRJ700 and my first time in ASE! I had fun though!

1. get him off the controls
2. streighten him up and try to wake him
3. shake him, check his breathing and pulse
4. take control of the a/c
5. divert to cloest airport with proper services (if captain has a steady heart rate and pulse and destination si nto far continue destination,)
6. notify ATC of situation
7. do not announce to the pax
