Ok, here is one for you. I know this was brought up within the last few months, but it doesn't appear to have changed. In the 2009 FAR/AIM, in reference to advanced ground instructor privelages, an AGI can 'provide ground instruction for any certificate or rating'. (bear with me, I do not have the book here at work) I asked the FAA inspector that I did my CFI initial with in May about this, and he said that was not the 'FAA's intent', and that one must have an IGI cert. to provide ground instruction for an instrument rating, and that the FAR's will change this wording in the next revision. (2010). It was recently posted on here the changes that were forthcoming in the 2010 FAR/AIM. I purchased a 2010 FAR/AIM last weekend, and in 61, it STILL shows that an AGI can 'provide ground instruction for any certificate or rating.' It hasn't changed that I see. does anyone have the list of changes that was posted on here a few months ago?
Thanks!
