Paintball?

I started thinking, and curious... would any of you be interested in playing paintball? If we got a group of about 10-12, we could probably have private games. The cost would be $55 per person, and that gives you everything you will need (paintballs, gun, mask, etc.).

We'd need to find transportation there, because it's not within walking distance.

I figured we could split into two teams. Conservatives wear red arm bands, and liberals wear blue arm bands. It's a civil war, JC style.

The only thing to remember is, everyone would need to bring an old pair of jeans and an old long-sleeve t-shirt, which may or may not come back from Vegas with them. You don't want to go paintballing in your jeans you're wearing to the club.

Thoughts? I like this and/or the golfing idea. We can also split into Reps/Dems playing golf and have a skins tournament. But with paintball, you can unload on your JC lavatory enemy. :D

Wow, there were a lot of awesome things going on already making me want to go, but that's the straw that broke the camels back. i think it's time to look at ticket prices and ask for a few days off..
 
The only problem is I don't know which side to be on. I'm an independent.

Can I be the sniper that hides in the trees and just shoots anybody? :D

(Guess if I really had to pick sides, I'll pick the Rep side... though anybody calls me a Republican they're going to be first to get a paintball in the butt.)
 
What day would you guys like? Sunday, Monday (that's the big day), or Tuesday?
 
Personally, I'd suggest Sunday. Maybe 10:00AM until 3 or 4:00PM? Then we can all go shower, change, ice our wounds, and meet up for dinner and drinks around 6:00PMish? That way we can eat and make our way to the New Members Meet and Greet.

I also think any regional pilots who attend will have to participate in a free for all standoff, to determine which regional is best. We can then post the results in the Airline Pilots forum, so we can lay this issue to rest. :bandit:
 
Embraer versus Canadair or are we talking ASA/Skywest vs Chautau Shaaaataaa holy hell, however in the the heck you spell that!
 
There are so many options with that one, I really don't know which one to choose!

Of course we could go regional versus major, and us young'uns can create some movement on the seniority list. :cool:
 
Can't do civilians versus military. We did that one year at my Theta Xi reunion and untrained gang warfare rules all.

"Ok, you! Guard that flank! On my mark, covering fire!"

versus

"Ok, we're going to run right over where they are and shoot every (expletive deleted) thing that moves, run (expletive deleteds) run!"
 
The true right of right barking dog conservatives - i.e. the polar opposites of Jtrain and TonyW - don't show up for these things. Independents would have to go on the red side to even it up.
 
If I can figure a way to check it without the TSA breaking or stealing it, I might bring my own paintball gun. I'll go on the conservative side, as a "gun toting Republican." I'll cling to my gun, religion, and dislike anyone who isn't like me.
