Outing myself

So, after reading about myself from @Trip7 thread about 'Congrats to Someone', I am now ready to come clean. Got the call this morning, start class at SJI on March 3rd! I am so excited about the next stage of my career. I owe @Derg and many others on this forum so much for all the help over the years since I first joined as a student pilot back in 2003. I can never pay it back, so I'll do everything I can to pay it forward!

It's a great feeling guys. Keep trucking along, because the moment you think you'll never hear anything, you'll start getting multiple calls! Keep your heads up and network!!

YOU
DAMNED RIGHT
SON!

Welcome, fellow Submarine Commander.

Translations:
AE = Advanced Entitlement = System Bid
Speedline = Any employee cafeteria (we have two!)
OC1/OC2/OC3 = Hell if I know, I think 3 is on the same side as 1 and Two is right across the catwalk to the building that's near the Starbucks on campus.
SponDEEVITS = Spondivits, massive beers and open late. Wouldn't suggest the Oysters.

Tips:
Join the gym. Wait until you upgrade to get fat.
Ask Uncle Derg lots of questions. You have the digits.
You earned it, but earning does not equal entitlement. Kick ass and stay positive
It's a small, small airline. Get to know people inside and outside of Flight Operations. We're all glad you're here. Always drop by flight control to say high when you're there for recurrent.

You have arrived.

Need coffee, we'll talk.

WEAR YOUR HAT and the uniform proudly. The haters can kick rocks.

More later.

As I've already told you...hell yes!

How'd you convince them you're not crazy? In starting to see how years and years at this place has made some senior guys the way they are. :-)

Congrats brother!! Give us updates about your onboarding and initiation from time to time.

Hey look, you're famous!

At least they haven't called you a jack wagon yet.

Man that forum suks balls. There be some haters on there.....

"
There are people doing it in less, but often on affirmative action. I know in 2006 timeframe, Continetal was hiring 26 yr olds with no TPIC, but the starting pay was an insulting 30K/ yr, no healthcare for 6mos.
