Outing myself

So, after reading about myself from @Trip7 thread about 'Congrats to Someone', I am now ready to come clean. Got the call this morning, start class at SJI on March 3rd! I am so excited about the next stage of my career. I owe @Derg and many others on this forum so much for all the help over the years since I first joined as a student pilot back in 2003. I can never pay it back, so I'll do everything I can to pay it forward! It's a great feeling guys. Keep trucking along, because the moment you think you'll never hear anything, you'll start getting multiple calls! Keep your heads up and network!!
Morning beers are on me next time. And I swear I will be less of a drag. Such a bad night prior.

As I've already told you...hell yes! How'd you convince them you're not crazy? In starting to see how years and years at this place has made some senior guys the way they are. :-)
Well, he didn't throw a cup of piss on a flight attendant after she wouldn't drink it so I would say he isn't THAT crazy....

Congrats and just remember that most of the guys working behind the scenes from Flight Control to Performance Engineering really aren't trying to make your life difficult. We're here to help but sometimes we like to see you squirm for our own enjoyment.

Also, for crying out loud, if you don't understand something having to do with performance (engine out procedures, flight planning questions, operational landing distance questions) ask myself or give us a call. (Same goes for any topic but I have a soft spot for my little part of the world.) If I had a dollar for every time I had to correct a wrong assumption because "so and so told me that he had been told by this guy that ::fill in the blank here::". I've had guys stop by to visit just because they happened to be visiting someone on the 4th floor who knew where we were and what we do. The response 99% of the time is "wow, I didn't know you guys were here or even existed". Maybe I just start dressing up like Santa Clause when I jumpseat just so I can at least feel the part when they are surprised by our existence.

Welcome to the family.

Man that forum suks balls. There be some haters on there.....

There are people doing it in less, but often on affirmative action. I know in 2006 timeframe, Continetal was hiring 26 yr olds with no TPIC, but the starting pay was an insulting 30K/ yr, no healthcare for 6mos.

I love how a black person being hired MUST be affirmative action.
