well ive completed the orientation program for UND I took the placement test and I placed in Calc 1 (18) and was able to skip one sem of foreign language (considerign I diddnt take spanish my SR. year).

heres my sched:
MEterology Borho
LAb Borho
Aviation Orientation TBA
Intro to ATC TBS
Intro to U life....MArdian
Comp 1.......Rieke

anyone want to comment on how difficult the instructor or the class is or if we will be in the same class please comment.

other comments:
orientationw as awesome go to meet a lot of pilots few girls. Kinda fell asleep on the lecture before the math placement test. (test was 1 hr long either algebra or trig) lots of hot girls

Cools...are we supposed to bring anything for math test (didn't know about that till you mentioned it) and what was it like?
 
Meteorology with borho will be ahh... well the powerpoints are all on the internet and you really find out how many people are in your class on test days... 103 is cake... I really liked comp 1. You have to write 5, 5-7 page papers I think and do a documentary with a partner (not that bad)... I liked that calss.. decent amount of discussion to play devil's advocate and argue with your classmates... also, I had a, ahem... attractive teacher...
 
I took meteorology with Borho the first semester he taught it and it was insanely hard. But I've heard he has mellowed out since then. Make sure you get Remer for the next class.

True. Great guy, and a fun class even though some of the block exams can be a pain in the ass.
 
Borho is an excellent teacher, however I believe he expects too much from his students who are not atmospheric science majors. Either way, you'll learn a lot from him. I think we could do away with the labs, or at least shorten them. All it is is Physics 101 all over again.
 
Labs=ridiculus... half of the equipment doesn't even work...
Bohro = good teacher, but only seems to explain things as it relates to Grand Forks, in my experience...
 
I called Bohro "Boring Bohro" cuz ... well you'll see. If you didnt sleep well the night before, you will in his class. My roomate freshman year took intro to university life of what ever its called...he said it was a joke. 103 is easy. All together, it looks like you have a pretty good schedule to start off with. And going back to the hot laides, there are many of them at UND.

I meant there are a lot. I only got to talk to a few of them some locals but there also werent that many of them over summer. I heard that during winter the hot chicks hibrnate and you rarely see them. When it starts getting warmer I hear they start comming out

Yes, there is a direct relationship between OAT and female presence in ND. When it starts getting cold they all start to migrate more and more to the bars.

Exactly my point. It's either that I'm too picky, or I'm just used to seeing hot city girls and am comparing them to the ones here when I realistically shouldn't.

There are a lot up there...their accent some of the people ive talked to say turned them off, but for me its all good. I was there in april and in june Ive talked to a few hot ones in orientaton and have seen many more, I cant wait till falll starts then again their probably with soem studly midwestern frat guy, a hokey player or maybe a football guy.
 
If you can ignore Borho's very repeatative talks about his experiances in UND's "weather" citation you'll be alright. I would just cringe everytime I heard the word citation come from his mouth.

Near the end of the semester I only went to class like once a week, if that. DONT DO THIS! I got lucky and still got an 'A' but it wasnt worth the huge pain trying to catch up a month of meterology.

That's funny. I would laugh just at the way he talks and rocks himself back and forth.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you though. I skipped the whole entire last third of the class (from second test all the way to final) and found it to be very well worth it. All you do is read the slides anyway. Read the questions, and memorize the answers, easy job done.

Exactly what I did. I couldn't understand the point of going to his class. All you need to do is read the book and download his powerpoints.
 
I just procrastinated to the day before the final was all. And Im not one who can sit and study for more than an hour straight no matter how easy it is. As long as I can get an hour of studying in maybe every five hours in the day Im usually good. But I cant cram for hours before a test. Its like I study for an hour, then a little while later I look at my watch and realize I've been staring at the wall for 20 minutes.

The thing is is I got into the habit of not going to the boring classes and started doing it in accounting 200 with Ness. Going to his class is still kind of pointless because you just get that much more confused and fall asleep anyway because the guy talks like Ben Stein(you know, the guy from the clear eyes commercial) Guess what grade I got in that class. Just put it this way, I'm retaking it this semester.

I will be taking WX with Bohro, along with 102, Algebra, and Buisness 101. I picked an evening flight lab, Im hoping to gain some night time.
 
I thought you had to pretty much do 102 in day conditions (with the exception of a few night lessons). Don't worry about getting night time, you can do just about all of 221 and 222 at night.

Speaking of flight labs, I wonder when they are going to post the instructors for the fall. I'm just curious who my 325 instructor is going to be.
