Not giving soldiers/airmen/sailors/marines their terminal leave is bush-league. I've had no less than 6 of my 25 soldiers stop-lossed for this current deployment. I can understand the stop loss, but under almost ANY circumstance can I see not allowing them something that they have earned through hard work. This is especially true for stop-lossed soldiers. I have specific examples of soldiers stop-lossed and still perform exceptionally, despite their situation. After already going through 8 months of this deployment, and likely looking at 15 months total now, its something that leaders at all levels have to fight for.
Like Fly4Pay said, its about takin' care of subordinates and giving them everything that they can get from the Army (I know I want it for myself). I sincerely appreciate their service, they make a young officer look like a really smart guy. They also deserve our best efforts.
