I'm always doing new trial and error concepts since the side effects would never seem to wane but I think I found something promising for the first few nights after taking the injection. My doc always tells me to change one thing at a time and see how your body responds.
I often read other people's responses and their trails to the injections on Reddit, it's technically all women in those chats since this gender seems to have the most side effects from the injection. Anyhoo, it's been documented that probiotics and protein are a huge factor when it comes to the side effects.
I added psyllium husk to my everyday diet a few weeks ago to try balancing out the lower GI and that is working pretty well, still trying to get the dosing correct...highly recommend!
2 weeks ago, when I wrote my initial "might move to wegovy pill" post, I decided to add extra probiotics and protein at night. My side effects typically start showing 2-4 hrs after injection on the 1.7mg. I typically take my shot at 8pm so I can sleep through most of the crappy starter side effects. I had been using greek yogurt as my probiotic for lunch and decided to try adding Kefir at night as a booster since it's apparently more supportive than greek yogurt. So 2 weeks ago, on injection night, I drank 4oz of Kefir 2 hrs before bed and upped my protein intake by adding a core power 42gram protein shake (vanilla ice cream flavor) 1 hr before I went to bed. I didn't want to report the success too soon but 2 weeks in a row now, this has actually worked to minimize the nausea/vomiting the morning after injection. I haven't gotten rid of the vomiting entirely yet cuz Day 3 and Day 4 seems to be in flux (will have to try same method for Night 2) but I have definitely felt a change with it, the nausea/vomiting wasn't present on Day 2! So anyway, I had good success last week and tried this trial again last Friday, injection day. Day 2, no nausea/vomiting/lower GI good/felt pretty good, Day 3 back to nausea/vomiting partial day and I'm on day 4 where 90% of my side effects are gone except for the insane amount of burping that causes my stomach to tumble when I'm up and moving around (annoying!). So far, this is the 2nd time that the nausea has actually stayed low enough to where tums is all that's needed the rest of the week.
Now just watch...my weight has, so far, stayed the same and I betcha my doc will tell me I need to up the dose....I can see it coming and that's not happening.
