Oh Delta XXVI - Delta pilot calls controller an idiot

Competing jerks here. The controller just needed to say something akin to “there’s down line delays on several of the departure directions right now, yours included. I’ll get the line moving as soon as I can.”

I have been doing more EWR/JFK/LGA flying lately than I have on average and the chaos has been worse than I remember. I used to only avoid these airports in the winter but its getting to the point of having to avoid them in the summer too lol.

On the upside, with this thread title visible in General Topics CC won’t need any ED meds for a while.

That gave me flashbacks. LGA and JFK are super good at handing out the jabs, but when one flies the other direction, it’s the end of the world. Not all heroes wear capes.

I wouldn’t endorse handling it that way at all, however, with the DOT rules we just can’t hang out “six to midnight” or whatever the controller said and no, the dispatcher probably doesn’t have delay information else you’d be back at the gate and off the DOT clock.

You literally defend cousin marriages in your culture quite often. Thats literally incest.

You want me to dig up your previous posts or nah?

I don’t defend it, I said it happens. Not sure what your point is. I thought liberals didn’t want anyone to care who married who and what goes on in a bedroom of 2 consenting adults. I can’t keep up with the hypocrisy.

You don’t know what the word liberal means.

I mean, taxi fuel is on the pilots/dispatch, not ATC.

How many pilots just accept that 600-800 lbs fuel for taxi on a 737/320 family at LGA/JFK/EWR on a WX day with delays? One quick phone call and that can become 1500 lbs taxi.

I look at it this way - this is a $500-600k+ job. I have a high tolerance level for crap going sideways. No point calling someone an idiot on the radio - you’re paid enough not to. It’s NYC with weather? Yes, now to midnight is a valid answer. Once those departure gates close with no WX letting up, they literally have no guess when it will open and when you can go.

If you’re not going to read or understand what I wrote, your only contribution is a low-value emotional response to stimulus.

Help me understand what you’re looking for.
