So, I'm heading over for my last rotation. It's been a fun ride. 9 years 9 months overseas, 7.5 with the same bosses in Moscow. I'll make it public where I'm going when I step into class on 4 June. I don't want to anger the aviation gods too soon.

Thanks everybody for the well wishes, and thanks for the help from all of the people I've been bugging over the last few months. I'll post more when I think it's time...

Sorry to hear about this! But it sounds like you have things in the works, so here is to more time at home to enjoy the tree house.

So I took my 6 year old daughter to breakfast yesterday. We talked life, jobs, etc., and treehouse status. I said I've been securing another job and spending time with you guys, so i haven't worked on it like I'd like to. She looks at me, very serious, says "i love you dad, but you need to work on the treehouse." She's just like her mother. All it's missing is the doors.

They pretty much requested tv, and electrical hookup to charge electronics. We put our (my) foot down on that pretty quick!

You should agree to it and then confiscate it for personal use whenever you want. Throw in a lockable beer fridge too

The beer fridge is on our patio. Where the treehouse is, is about 150 yards from our house. Eventually I'll put a tv on our patio, but that's a ways away...

Maybe it's closer to 100 yards, but still too far for a beer.
