1) You must answer phones for the first couple of months

2) You get paid as much as a kid from Mcdonalds (maybe less) and work about 6-7 days a week
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, the pay isnt the greatest. but its not bad relative to the rest of the industry. Unless you're working for IFTA or a similar outfit, you're not gonna make any money. you get paid a salary. which is good and bad. but its not the pay that kills you. its the schedule. you're unable to hold down a second job........thats where it sucks. but don't dog the pay. you'll see if and when you start instructing.

3) You're a "gofer"... if you're based in AZ and there's student who needs an instructor in CA, they'll make you drive there (and pay for your trip)
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, at times they may ask you to help another location out. When you say "and pay for your trip", I hope you mean ATP pays for it. cuz thats what they do.

4) They treat you like sh**
[/ QUOTE ]
"eeeeeeeeeasy white chocolate" They do keep a very tight leash on new instructors. but let me ask you this.....Why dont you tell me of any other flight school that will put in a newly minted CFI with 250 hours to instruct in a twin. If you can find one, let me and the rest of the CFIs on this board know.
Get a bunch of atp instructors and you'll hear them bitch about working here. Including me, I'll probably bitch the most. I can walk out anytime I want. But I am no dummy, i know when I am in a good situation. I am not under any contract nor is any other instructor, but we all stay.
