Now that my airline is reaching the 21st Century...

I'm clearly not on the inner circle of the joke but I hear Boar's Head in LGA is either the most fantastic/best/heathiest/most delicious food ever...or it's a dumpster fire? Not sure which tho. @Derg @Seggy ?
Newark boars head is the best. LGA is trash

Allegedly

I know people advise against salads but I have had nothing but good experiences from Au Bon Pain salads. I get the made to order ones, skip the cheese, croutons, etc and go for a low calorie, fat free dressing. I like to think they are healthy, and they fill me up.

I got my FL440 on Aviationbay.com I used the code PSABags for 35% off I don't think it matters what airline your with. Looks like there is a December special with free shipping now too. My bag fits in the bucket of the CRJ nicely and I carry a ton of stuff. iPad 13" laptop, Bose headsets bunch of cables, dry food, chargers, gadgets and "stuff". They are a little pricer than others I've seen but i had money in my allowance and wanted the big bag. Definitely worth the money.

Worst part about all these airlines, flight operations, etc, going to EFBs and the like:

All the cheapo pilots who depend on expired paper pubs/maps for use as free gift wrapping, are now screwed.

:)
Then we stop giving gifts. The cost of wrapping is too damn high

That is now the fallout of this, yes. :D

You guys dissapoint. Adopt, Adapt, Improvise, Overcome. These are still free on the hotel deck.

Makes great wrapping paper. For presents or gutted fish.

I pack food because I don't want the leftovers going to waste. Plus I like having the option to not have to leave the hotel to look for food. Roll out of bed, run, eat some lunch, go back to bed.

If I see a restaurant I want to eat at, I eat at it.

"Do you have a room
With a fridge?" "Oh yours doesn't have one" ....wait 30 min for some mx dude to come roll in one.....what a PITA. I think I did it once. From now on I get my exercise by walking to the Krispt Kreme , TYVM.

I guess not buying a $12 sandwich at DTW is a controversy for some people.

If you're spending $12 for a sandwich in DTW, you're doing it wrong. :p

Pot Belly is awesome! It's under $8 for the "big" sandwich. I can generally get 2 small meals out of it. Sure wish they'd get one in ORD!

I wish someone would tell all the mainline airlines this. I carry a backpack (similar to swissgear but different brand) with me for my laptop because I'm in the same boat as @Finny. That and I have a HDMI cable also to plug my laptop into the tv. I may just stick my EFB in my backpack and clip my headset bag onto my backpack. I think the issue of bags being on the cockpit floor may resurface though. I'm just glad we're also done dealing with paper. I always said I felt like a secretary dealing with paper. If I gave BJ's and had lighter skin I could probably pass for Monica Lewinski.

Damn, that's me. But I use the charts more as a novelty than a "I'm too cheap" thing. My family love getting gifts wrapped in charts, they're always looking at the chart and wondering where it is referencing...it's a gift outside the gift (at least that's what I tell myself).
