Norwegian Deny NAI / now DOT-approved

Thank you for contacting me regarding the Department of Transportation granting preliminary approval for Norwegian Air International to fly to the United States. Your opinions are invaluable to me, and I appreciate you taking the time to share them.

This is why I've stopped bothering trying to write letters—or otherwise participate in the political system—as if it mattered. Nothing without teeth.

You mean, you don't like "standard politician form letter with_____________(insert subject matter here)," and complete with digital generated signature?

Reading the public comments on this is frightening. It never ceases to amaze me how little the average American understands about almost everything. Most comments seem to be in favor of this for the simple reason that, "ARGH I DONT THINK THE FEDERAL GUBMENT SHOULD BE ABLE TO TELL ME WHO I CAN AND CANT FLY ON"!!!! Also, lots of, "THE GUBMENT SHOULD JUST GET OUT OF THE WAY AND LET THE FREE MARKET WORK!! THIS IS WHY IM VOTING FOR ____".

It's disheartening to be honest :bang:

Is there much difference when it comes to the ME carriers?

Free markets yes, but not stupid markets that put us at a disadvantage by our own doing, to our own carriers. A little bit of protectionism and nationalism should filter into this subject matter, I would think.

When it comes to nationalism in American corporations replace the stars with $ signs. So long as they're making money, they don't care who or where it's from.

The Huffington Post is a total rag, but I caught this article.

Holy balls, what a feminine hygiene product this author is.
He's just regurgitating quotes and interjecting one sentence about how terrible it is for consumers. Good reporting, Chris; I've seen Reddit bots write better articles
Also buy his book "How to Be the World’s Smartest Traveler (and Save Time, Money, and Hassle)" It's in the top 205,000 best sellers on Amazon!

Guaranteed that people saving money on these flights would expect Emirates service for Spirit prices.

Still waiting on my congressman to get off his duff & call me back, or simply acknowledge the email I sent, outside of the auto-reply I got 2 minutes after pushing it through the internets.
