I HAVE STRONG OPINIONS ABOUT AUTOMOTIVE LIGHTING
There's a storm brewing on the East Coast and it's got a biiiig appetite.

I have thoughts:
  1. Is it too early to start the seasonal meltdown pool?
  2. In New York the UN General Assembly is in assembled until October 2nd; will the storm play a role in an international crisis?
  3. What is your airline doing about it?
 
JFK already has a ground delay program for winds.

It has those tiny engines partly because it was designed in the era when ETOPS was not ubiquitous & customer preference drove for four, and also because the the CF6-80E, PW4168 and Trent 772 were being co-developed and Airbus could have ended-up in a situation like Boeing has today with the GE9X with the 777X.

It's been windy. And rainy. Local Part 135 charters were cancelled for the day. We'll see about tomorrow. I'm hoping they stay cancelled too because I'd like the whole weekend off.

Landed in PHL about an hour ago. Departing CGN it was iffy whether we'd exceed the crosswind limit, but on arrival the gusts magically disappeared and it was a relatively tame arrival. Guess they heard I was onboard.
