Its probably still unique to Alaska, but Anchorage center has big areas where there are aircraft with ADS-B on radar operating in the mix with transponder aircraft that are out of terrestrial radar coverage.
It all depends on what facility you end up at. You can work in a facility that never uses it, one that has specific sectors that have areas of non radar, or places that use it every day. You will need to be proficient to get through the OKC academy but after that it all depends on where are going if you will ever need it again.
