NOAA changes

Unbelievable the things they’re trying, I don’t expect this to last a year.

The Kennedy Center stuff is beyond the pale. Truly sickening.
 
Project 2025 called for breaking up NOAA and commercializing forecast operations. The document states that NOAA is "one of the main drivers of the climate change alarm industry and, as such, is harmful to future U.S. prosperity." And they added, "That is not to say NOAA is useless, but its current organization corrupts its useful functions. It should be broken up and downsized."

Makes me so mad I could scream. The biggest challenge humanity has ever faced, and these •heads want to bury the evidence and pretend everything is fine so we can continue buying • we don’t need made by slave labor in other countries and call it “prosperity”.

Don’t worry about it, when they fudge the data so it no longer shows extra energy being retained in the air and water it will magically make the turbulence disappear. We’re gonna make seatbelt signs great again!

The last 6 months, most of my smoothest flights have been in the yellow/orange spots of turbulence in WSI. And my roughest flights have been in areas of no turbulence colors on WSI. Ugh

Please explain how shrinking & reducing funding to an organization while also creating doubt of their integrity and mission will improve the product?

When it is outsourced to the Weather Channel, the TAF: Partly Sunny, chance of showers. I'm reasonably certain the people making these choices have no clue where the Weather Channel gets their data from...

Damn right....Weather Channel and Fox Weather.......anybody wonders where the get "their data" from needs to re evaluate where they derive their source of journalism and media delivery

If someone was supplying a competing forecast product that was demonstrably better, it would be a different situation. And I would be all for the "Jepp" brand TAFs and METARs to be something I could buy instead. But that's not where we are, at all.
 
Awwww the MAGA and Project 2025 Whiners will get their doses when nature goes awry and will bitch to high heaven about home insurance rates and " WhErE'sMyFeMaMoNeY will be the cry of the future only to find out that their Savior was the one to dismantle the agencies being mentioned. Being a former emergency management type attached to the Single Engine Airtanker mission we depended upon doing morning briefing including the weather morning and evening and the pilots were doing themselves off hours. 22 yrs in US Army Aviation....this is THE LOONIEST I have have ever seen of a level of F@#%ery known to US Constitution
