I’ll probably get flamed for saying this, but I hate Lears. I will always associate them with the dirtbag operator I worked for for 3 months.
The Lear 28 with CJ610-8s is, and will always be the ultimate Lear hot rod. Understand that I hate these contraptions with a heart blackened by trying to keep them airworthy, but I still respect them. I'd love to know what happened to all of the 29s.Lear 23/24 was where it was at for hot rods.
I realize it’s a bit irrational, but in regards to the Lear, it was uncomfortable as f.....No flame. But while that’s unfortunate regards the dirtbag operator, it’s not really the fault of the equipment said dirtbag chose to operate in his/her dirtbaggy operation .![]()

Which recently released product? The 70/75 has been around for a good bit and the 85 has been put on indefinite hold hasn’t it?WOW, with recently released products, this is a huge surprise. Holy crap.
Didn't they come out in like 2019? That's like brand-new in aircraft years.Which recently released product? The 70/75 has been around for a good bit and the 85 has been put on indefinite hold hasn’t it?
I thought they’d been out for longer. Maybe not!Didn't they come out in like 2019? That's like brand-new in aircraft years.
Ah, still new, but I thought it was much more recent. You're right, maybe I mixed it up wit the 85 announcement\demo. They hauled the demo fuselage to SJC by truck in 2019 haha.Wikipedia says 2013. Which I guess is still brand new in airplane years.

Between Bombardier selling to C-Series to Airbus to become the A220 and the CRJs to Mitsubishi, they seem to be desperately shedding.
60 was the last real Lear and it was a hot rod, the 40s and 70s are just midget Challengers and they're hard to work on (if you need flight control cable changes expect a 2-4 month downtime).

They really on have two aircraft that make them money. That is the global line and the Challenger 350 line.
...and even the Challenger 350 is being left behind a bit by it's competitors. All it has going for it is that it's the best looking in it's class. It's also one of the cheapest to purchase.
