No More Lears

The 2 years I had on the Lear 45 were the most fun flying job I had. Some people on here were really helpful when I was doing the rating.

Good times. Still be plenty second hand out there though!

No flame. But while that’s unfortunate regards the dirtbag operator, it’s not really the fault of the equipment said dirtbag chose to operate in his/her dirtbaggy operation . :)
I realize it’s a bit irrational, but in regards to the Lear, it was uncomfortable as f.....

WOW, with recently released products, this is a huge surprise. Holy crap.

Between Bombardier selling to C-Series to Airbus to become the A220 and the CRJs to Mitsubishi, they seem to be desperately shedding.

Wikipedia says 2013. Which I guess is still brand new in airplane years.
Ah, still new, but I thought it was much more recent. You're right, maybe I mixed it up wit the 85 announcement\demo. They hauled the demo fuselage to SJC by truck in 2019 haha.

They really on have two aircraft that make them money. That is the global line and the Challenger 350 line.

...and even the Challenger 350 is being left behind a bit by it's competitors. All it has going for it is that it's the best looking in it's class. It's also one of the cheapest to purchase.

75 is just an updated 45, which has been around since the 90s. Same type rating for the pilot, but requires differences training. The winglets got slanted out and it got Garmin avionics. I think I've read in the discussions today that it has a bit more thrust, but I'm too lazy to google that.

^^^This. The 350 is a good airplane, but it really only sells in the numbers it does because of the ramp presence and price.

I feel like the next big news from Bombardier will have to do with the 600 series Challenger. If they kill it, it may signal the end of Bombardier. If they bring a new product to market as a replacement, they may have some life left.
