Nicely done US Airways

As clever as they may be with social media, Denny's is still a terribly depressing destination. They've literally made a national brand of sub-par breakfast food. When you eat at Denny's, you're compromising.

DiGiorno pizza also has a pretty awesome one - if the goal is engagement and making your product top of mind, I'd say theirs works.

I'll bet this was an intern or disgruntled worker that was going to quit or get fired soon anyway. No way this was unintentional. Or perhaps a hacked account. If I were Airways' damage control I'd be screaming the account was compromised a la Anthony Weiner. Only in this case if it weren't exactly true, it could still be feasible it was compromised by someone with access.

Side note: I see people hashtagging the most random crap on instagram via facebook and then clicking on those hashtags often leads to a horrifically disjointed grouping of pictures. The concept of categorizing something using millions of individuals leads to the very antithesis of categorization.

Then other people create a hashtag that literally nobody else uses, thus failing to group with anything.

I cannot even comprehend the type of person that would actively subscribe to the social media musings (advertising?) of a frozen pizza brand.

Perhaps Boeing would be a better example for you?

You don't get it, and that's all good. Many people do.

Besides, what's cheaper? Spending a million or so on a ten to twelve person social media team? Or spending $4 million for a 30 second spot during the Super Bowl?

I get it to an extent. But Boeing can attract a social media following because they build machines that a fair portion of humanity find interesting at the very least.

I don't understand why, when there's so much free information and entertainment to waste your time on across the internet, someone would subscribe to the verbal diarrhea that a frozen pizza brand spits out multiple times a day.
