No it wouldn’t. That’s not how inflation works.
I double dog dare you to say that on APC.

I avoid posting there for a reason. Those people be crazy.
Bad strategy. I’ve played that game before, and SWAPA used it against us. We settled for rates far below what we were targeting in order to get the CBA done so we could focus on SLI and a JCBA, but then SWAPA came to the SLI table and claimed our new rates were proof that we were an “inferior” carrier based on our lower pay rates that we just agreed to. Don’t make that mistake.
SlumTodd_Millionaire said:I mean, he is right that the NMB views airlines in “tiers,” and they’ll never let a Spirit or Frontier fight to the end for Delta rates.
But here’s the part he won’t like: the NMB doesn’t view Alaska as being a legacy tier carrier, either. So you expecting Alaska rates is not crazy.
That's some good opinion, there with all of your time doing union stuff!
Another really good opinion.
Not just there. Our internal forum too.
It was mostly United. They'd been in negotiations for a while, and in late summer of 2000 the CEO walked in (per the first hand story I heard) without telling any of the labor relations team, and offered to sign the current deal on the table as is, if United ALPA would support his attempt to close out the merger with USAir. The rates were (at the time) astronomical. It forced Delta to sign a deal (about 6 months later) that was also pretty sizable.
Of course 9-11 pretty much killed any gains made.
I didn't know about this until recently. It is mildly entertaining.
This one is an easy no vote for me. Disappointed we didn’t even get Alaska rates, but the big No for me was the fact that (if it passes) they can unilaterally raise first year pay without raising the rest. That’s a hard NO for me. Let’s be honest the only reason they are even at the table is because of first year pay, if that leverage goes away……

Pretty awesome that NK peeps should be able to see Jet blues offer before we get to vote on ours. I have a feeling NK’s deal will be going from possible pass to definite no when the details come out. People can have their opinions about comparing NK’s offer to the new Delta offer but to accept less than JB as you are in the process of merging with them would be ridiculous. Much thanks to the JB MEC for reaching a TA when they did.JetBlue got something, apparently.

Question from an idiot : people love to say that the union will shove a garbage contract down our throats just to get a deal done but how does getting a crap TA to pass benefit them? When a TA comes out every look at the negotiating committee as if they’re on managements side and I don’t understand why.

Looks like it’s open for posts again. Super crazy topic… and stuff.
Be interesting to see how the JB TA news is received. So I’m glad they are done with read only for now.

So 6 pilots out of 3,000 (an astonishing .2% of the population) had debilitating results after the vaccine and lost their medical *because* of the Covid vaccine shot?
Am I really suppose to believe that? There’s that whole correlation and causation thing…
