Having known the "Wookie" when he didn't know a PT-6 from and a Bus Tie...I can honestly say that he is a man of good moral character. And, while I may not always agree in principle with some of his politics or viewpoints on organized labor in the airline pilot profession, I DO respect him and honestly believe that he did his best for his fellow pilots at his previous employer.

Yup.

I was on the phone with him the night of the Colgan accident when he called. Also, wagged my finger disapprovingly at him during his wedding when he was still answering union calls.

Firebird is out to lunch by calling his character into question. Especially on the internet.

You can passionately disagree with anther person and not have to stoop to trying assassinate someone's character.

Why, again, that I'm writing an 'open letter' of sorts to a website full of professional adults is beyond me.

Your experiences seem to differ greatly from mine. He's made a point of stepping on me more than a few times.

Somebody said once, the measure of a person's character is defined by how they treat someone who can do nothing for them. Things look different from my angle.

I told you in a PM that I was willing to drop this. Why do you keep bringing it up?

Every guy that went to Rutgers is of good moral character...I don't care who you are...

And now that Gonzo has liked this post, the only reason I said that is because I myself, may be attending Rutgers here soon...so...that voids my previous statement...carry on...my whiskey for me please.

To be honest, you get to see what happens in Derg's living room at NJC.

I've been to NJC. Going again this year. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone there. Well, almost everyone.

Didn't notice any blatant, vicious character assassinations going on at the last NJC I attended. Doubt I'll see any at this one, either. Yet it's allowed in the "virtual" living room right here. Sad.

Is there a program in place where I can pay to sit right seat on Derg's couch? I promise to vote for moderator concessions once I get there.
