New PSA TA?

You can debate a person to the ends of the earth, but when you call into question someone's character, you'd certainly better make your case rather than trying to troll someone into an argument.

I did make my case. Thoroughly. But since the issue was more the matter of the OP of that thread trolling people into an argument, discussing the underlying motivation of said OP was totally relevant.

There was no defendable argument there. The point was to offend. So you nullify the offender.

Don't troll. This isn't a negotiation or discussion on the matter.

My opinions of the merger don't necessarily reflect my interest. AA not merging might benefit my interest, but that's beyond me to say. I'm years from any real payout there. As for the nature of the merger, it is what it is.

... And where do you work again? A CLT based CL-65 operator?

I'm curious- how'd you vote? You can talk about others being selfish, but you're just deflecting scrutiny. The PSA kids just screwed *everybody* with a seriously weak TA. But desperation comes in all flavors, I guess.

I wasn't attacking you, so calm down. I'm merely pointing out that people generally think about themselves first. Of course you'd rather AA emerge on their own and award gobs of flying to Eagle. That would help you and your career, at least in the short term. Most anyone at Airways would rather the merger go through, providing short term gains AND long term career stability. I guess the majority of PSA pilots feel that this TA will enhance their own careers, while very few are actually worried about the possible negative impacts to the regional sector as a whole.

And I didn't vote, because I don't work for a "CLT based CL-65 operator".

Are we really having a penis measuring contest on a black man's website?

This is delicious.

Really, is that what you call it? I call it character assassination. Did you read the tripe he wrote in that other thread? Just another example of the misguided moderation that censors "bad words" while allowing trolls and character assassins to go about their business.

What the hell goes on in your real living room, anyway?

I'm not saying I was trolling. I'm saying I was nullifying the troll.

I know you're not saying you're trolling.

I am, however.

We can 'play the game' as much as you like and you're not going to like how the story ends, or you can take my gentle nudge back on track to a less emotional course and I can get back to my delicious club soda here at 8D over some crappy flyover state.

... update your profile, then.

... and I don't really hope Eagle gets piles and piles of flying. I hope the regional market becomes gradually cost-normalized with mainline, and every time we undermine labor costs we lose ground on that. It doesn't matter what ticket the flying is on, as long as there's a cost spread in labor, it means lost jobs to the higher paying one. This is big-picture stuff, all of it.

You're putting words in my mouth and getting nearly all of them wrong. Would Eagle doing something (new jets, etc.) to advance my career in the short term be good in the short term for me? Yes. But that same erosion of higher paid flying at mainline comes at the long term expense of me and everybody else no matter where it goes. So the only real ground to be gained is not giving up costs when it's awarded.

My views of AA and USAir merging are based on my analysis of their respective CEO's and apparent strategies. MY career track is simple- as long as Eagle doesn't fold entirely, I'll always have a job. All I have to do is wait- I have flow-through. So my eventual career path is buffered. In the meantime if something better comes along, there's that.

But please, continue assuming you understand what I'm really thinking.

Ouch, my ankle. Stop biting it.

Conflict Resolution 101: Someone deviates from acceptable behavior. You give them the opportunity to correct their behavior and provide them with a choice. If they choose to honor your reiteration of your expectations, cool. If they choose not to, then I gotta get medieval on their asses because AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME FO DAT.

Be patient.

Holy truck nuts, I can't believe I have to talk to TWO adults like kindergarteners now. Really? REAAAAAAALLY? :)

I call bs. There's no way you're surprised by this.

Some things don't deserve a gentle nudging. Sometimes the banhammer needs to come out quickly. This is one of those times.

Firebird's being a knucklehead and I told him. Now you're being a knucklehead about how I told Firebird he's being a knucklehead. Now ---I'VE--- got to be a knucklehead to you two knuckleheads because you both just made me realize, like many others have, why I'm glad I never had children! :)

I'd spank the living poop out of them if I heard a peep after "BECAUSE, SON, I SAID SO! FINSH YOUR CHEESE CONEY!" :) Ha!

Hot damn. Now I want a chili dog. Or a Portillos.

Having known the "Wookie" when he didn't know a PT-6 from and a Bus Tie...I can honestly say that he is a man of good moral character. And, while I may not always agree in principle with some of his politics or viewpoints on organized labor in the airline pilot profession, I DO respect him and honestly believe that he did his best for his fellow pilots at his previous employer.
